  1. Thats major negligence. Going to cost em a penny or two.
  2. Thats what I said. A trailer of 750kg (on any "car") or trailer under 50% of car's actual weight & total MAM under 3500kg. So its not "just" 4250kg train weight.
  3. This has been done here before but they can tow a 750kg trailer or upto 3500kg max train weight as long as the car empty weighs more than the trailer full (or some thing like that). So a 2000kg car can tow a 1500kg trailer on a post 97 licence.
  4. Go over your last few years returns & see what you own % would be doing it the normal way. Only use a flat rate scheme if you will be better off.
  5. If you end up breaking it I'll have the wheel & tyres.
  6. 1, With narrow wire you cant up the amps as far as you can with thicker wire. Farm stuff can take the thicker wire no probs & you might even get into spray transfer with high enough amps. 2, Or remove the reel & keep it inside or save up the little sachet of silica crystals & put in the housing. 3, Yeh big down side to outside MIG'ing, sort out wind breaks / screens.
  7. Do they? Amp for amp I would say they are the same. In fact I got rid of the oxford arc welder as my mig had more power & I was just not using it any more. Mig is quicker, easier & more versatile. Down side is gas cylinder rental costs & special gasses needed for other metals. (BOC have now got a low user offer) £ for £ arc would do better as you will get more amps for your money.
  8. I think it would be good to show things like before & after on 30% (or any %) reductions crown lifts & any other terms that non arb people wont understand what they actually mean.
  9. Will do Mr Ed as I have lots of raking type stuff to do.
  10. I guess its me then. Not sure how that happened sure I was in Equipment when I hit new thread..
  11. Its from an ebay seller HERE the one on ebay is more but he quoted me less for one for my Shaeff HR16 quick hitch. £65 for del
  12. Er is it? One of us need new glasses
  13. I have been looking for a "thumb" for my digger (3750kg) for a while. I have even been looking at making one but lack of suitable steel has held me back. Then I spotted this complete grab. Not the right one for my digger but they will make me one to fit for £380 (plus VAT & del but I can collect) which seems a very good price. Any comments?
  14. I have the pdf manual for the MF 500 series if you want a copy.
  15. Has the baffle plate fallen down?
  16. At what psi is it considered a problem? I use my digger in & around my trees a lot & have roughly worked out its about 7psi. (will need to measure the tracks) I guess the tractor will be more even though it weighs less.
  17. I think it will make great kindling. We have about 10 cubes of RWC slabs from a milling job that I have cut to burn for this winter. It dried really quick & we can light the stove without kindling as it lights so easy. Its not the best wood but we are finding it giving us lots of heat, its charcoaling well & glowing in the stove & we can even keep the stove in all night on it.
  18. How big a sachet is actually needed for most injuries?

Thats a good price for whats in the net. The ones on petrol station fourcourts have less in them & are mainly softwoods plus they cost more. They are just pissed cos they have installed a wood burner (at huge cost) thinking the fuel is free & now they are finding out its not. Tell em to sling their hooks.
  20. I was on about the smaller end of the market. With 14.2 tonnes your not going to be bothered by a ton or two on the arm. Mine is low tail swing not zero.
  21. How will you move it? To big for trailer or 7.5 tonner. Would have to be tractor & trailer or a HGV 18 ton job. Could get costly to move it. Oh & on the hiring out not many cars / vans / 4x4's can tow 3.5ton any more so your looking at a 2 ton mini digger by the time the trailer & buckets are added up. I have put a tow hitch on my 3 1/2 ton one. Its really manoverable. The down side to zero tail swing is that they cant hold as much weight at full reach as the same tonnage non zero swing can. Also stability when at 90 deg is less too & even worse if you can swing the boom independant of the cab.
  22. I think you lot will like this game The eyeballing game Had two goes & best score 4.1 I seem to be bad at Parallelogram which is letting the side down as the rest are very low scores.
  23. I think you will need to use it up then cos no one will want to move it whilst full.
  24. Do you know anyone with an LPG car? If so sell it them cheap. You will need the tank to have a dip tube to do this as the car wants liquid whilst the house uses gas.
  25. For real men only
