  1. I guess its me then. Not sure how that happened sure I was in Equipment when I hit new thread..
  2. Its from an ebay seller HERE the one on ebay is more but he quoted me less for one for my Shaeff HR16 quick hitch. £65 for del
  3. Er is it? One of us need new glasses
  4. I have been looking for a "thumb" for my digger (3750kg) for a while. I have even been looking at making one but lack of suitable steel has held me back. Then I spotted this complete grab. Not the right one for my digger but they will make me one to fit for £380 (plus VAT & del but I can collect) which seems a very good price. Any comments?
  5. I have the pdf manual for the MF 500 series if you want a copy.
  6. Has the baffle plate fallen down?
  7. At what psi is it considered a problem? I use my digger in & around my trees a lot & have roughly worked out its about 7psi. (will need to measure the tracks) I guess the tractor will be more even though it weighs less.
  8. I think it will make great kindling. We have about 10 cubes of RWC slabs from a milling job that I have cut to burn for this winter. It dried really quick & we can light the stove without kindling as it lights so easy. Its not the best wood but we are finding it giving us lots of heat, its charcoaling well & glowing in the stove & we can even keep the stove in all night on it.
  9. How big a sachet is actually needed for most injuries?

Thats a good price for whats in the net. The ones on petrol station fourcourts have less in them & are mainly softwoods plus they cost more. They are just pissed cos they have installed a wood burner (at huge cost) thinking the fuel is free & now they are finding out its not. Tell em to sling their hooks.
  11. I was on about the smaller end of the market. With 14.2 tonnes your not going to be bothered by a ton or two on the arm. Mine is low tail swing not zero.
  12. How will you move it? To big for trailer or 7.5 tonner. Would have to be tractor & trailer or a HGV 18 ton job. Could get costly to move it. Oh & on the hiring out not many cars / vans / 4x4's can tow 3.5ton any more so your looking at a 2 ton mini digger by the time the trailer & buckets are added up. I have put a tow hitch on my 3 1/2 ton one. Its really manoverable. The down side to zero tail swing is that they cant hold as much weight at full reach as the same tonnage non zero swing can. Also stability when at 90 deg is less too & even worse if you can swing the boom independant of the cab.
  13. I think you lot will like this game The eyeballing game Had two goes & best score 4.1 I seem to be bad at Parallelogram which is letting the side down as the rest are very low scores.
  14. I think you will need to use it up then cos no one will want to move it whilst full.
  15. Do you know anyone with an LPG car? If so sell it them cheap. You will need the tank to have a dip tube to do this as the car wants liquid whilst the house uses gas.
  16. For real men only
  17. I assume its a diesel? I bet they had it rev'd up to the limiter & some thing gave out.
  18. It uses a electrical charge sensor to pick up when the blade touches some thing that absorbs the signal. Or some thing like that.
  19. I wonder if this tech has any mileage in chainsaw safety? What a good idea [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E3mzhvMgrLE&feature=related]Finger in saw[/ame] (no blood)
  20. No worries. So when under charge what voltage are you seeing at the batts? What amps are you seeing going to each batt? As the batts have been changed its likely the cable is faulty but then how was the amps & volts ok?
  21. But thats not what he said was the problem. Problem was stated as the bat was going flat/not getting charged. Not that it was charged but not providing power. If the current (and volts) has been measured to the battery & is ok then its the bat. But like most problems we have not been given enough info to really get to the bottom of this. If it was in front of me I would chec each bats voltage at rest (12.8v is full) chec each bats voltage under charge (up to 14.4-14.8v once nearly charged) chec each bats voltage under load chec the voltage at the alternator when running chec the amps to each bat & total amps from alt resistance test each terminal (pref under load so a Volt across the terminal test) Then I would check the SG of the bats if poss I would also swap the bats over if I had not found the problem yet. Does it have a split charge relay/diode or are they just linked together? If it does then test that too.
  22. If the batts are getting the correct amps then why suspect the cables? For the cables to be at fault the volts & amps to the bats would be low. Test the bats. try swapping them over & seeing if the fault stays in the same position or mover with the bat. My money is on the bat. Does it have a split charge system / controller or are they just linked together?
  23. Only IF you get the maker to replate its weight. They use the plated weights not actual weights.
  24. I think thats just to show how much it can remove without affecting the temper of the tooth.
  25. Anything in the bags with an address? Cost you £2.50 & a good reason. Send a form in to DVLA. http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring/OwningAVehicle/AdviceOnKeepingYourVehicle/DG_4022067 The PDF http://www.direct.gov.uk/prod_consum_dg/groups/dg_digitalassets/@dg/@en/@motor/documents/digitalasset/dg_065303.pdf Getting address from car registration - Possible!
