  1. Yes its lovely. I have been told that oak grown is not the best (I think he said beech was but dont quote me). Justme
  2. True but if your paying rent on the space the 500 tons is taking up then you are better off to shift it ASAP. Justme
  3. Must be just about to drop off as its getting warmer. Justme
  4. Has he shown you a "possesory title" or a "title absolute"? The former need at least 12 years with no challenge whilst the latter is complete ownership that cant be challenged. We purchased a plot with a possessory title & the sellers had to supply us with an indemnity policvy incase some one came along before the 12 years from traceable ownership was up. We have now had it for 5 years, they had it before that for 9 & we also now know the prevous owner has had it for longer than both of us together. Justme
  5. But be prepered for all your other sites to forget who you are as well. Would be better if the web sites could post the names of the files they use so you could just remove those ones. Justme
  6. Have logging 3 times with no problems today. Justme
  7. Using IE & chrome still the same. Justme
  8. Spoke to soon bad as ever this morning. Whilst talking about the site do others find it very very slow? Compared to other sites & forums this is by far the slowest (by a factor of about 5). So much so I open up all the pages I want then go surf another forum before coming back to still loading pages. Justme
  9. Still playing up here too.
  10. Justme

Me too. It redirects to a non existant page. IF I hit a link quickly before the redirect then the site is ok. Justme
  11. I guess that "live" demo's are much better marketing opportunities than on line video's. Justme
  12. Is that a blokes 12" or a real 12" lol :blushing: jUSTME
  13. Find a greeny group & let them have it for the composting toilet. Justme
  14. Mill it yourself if you are able. It will be much cheaper. Justme
  15. Have you checked the coupling for wear in the actual ball socket? Could be either the ball or socket is badly worn (also used to be a problem with 50mm & 2" kit but I doubt its that). I get a knock but its only when using the ring & pin as there is play between the two & also on my drop hitch if I am using it. Justme
  16. That was my first thought. My second thought was cos its less likely the council will see it coming down. Justme
  17. If I am buying in some logs in 7' lengths for me to split & burn myself should that be 5% or 15%? I know if I sell them I should have bought it at 15% & sold at 5%. What about if I do both? Justme
  18. You have been very unlucky then. Justme
  19. Most hard drives dont die they get murdered (bumps knocks drops sudden movement whilst accessing data all take their toll). Especialy in laptops. Lots of laptops now come with sensors to make the drive safe in the event of danger. As drives are one of the few moving parts in a pc / laptop it no wonder that that is the most common failure point. Justme PS Maxtors do fail but less often than other makes & their warranty is (or should say was cos I am out of that industry now so it could have changed) one of the best. In general we found that IT kit either failed in its first month or went on for years. Hard drives had a failure rate of less than 3% (and we were selling direct to joe public which increases the failure rate in those days substatualy). The highest rate was on pci modems when they first came out but most of that was user error or storm damage.
  20. I use a prog called photoresize400. you drag & drop onto the icon one or hundreads of pics & it rsizes them to the pixel count in the number. So to get dif sizes you change the file name to say photoresize200 & get a smaller file size. Dead easy & once you get a hange of it you will have default numbers for diff jobs. I use 400 for forum photos. If you can find it you can get it from HERE Download should start automaticaly. Justme
  21. Also "cars" with more than I think 12 seats have to have a MOT after the first year when new not 3 years. Justme
  22. Unless wood becomes worth a fortune? Justme
  23. Why would no felling licence be needed? That seems odd to me. Would the checks have gone some thing like this Him, I have a few trees in my garden that I want to cut down them, thats ok nothing needed ???? Do they look "mature" to you lot? Or good enough / large enough to be worth milling? Justme
