  1. The car derived exemption also need the MAM to be under 2000kg .
  2. It says "goods" but one item would still count so when it says "passengers" its just using the correct grammar.
  3. You do realise that all of Wales is south of there?
  4. I have just been buying a new set of tyres. The 3 things they are now rated on bear no relationship to cost. You can get cheap tyres with a good wet stopping distance and dear ones with a bad grade. Winters do tend to get a lower wet grade than summers. In the main due to tread pattern on winters being about surface contact & small sipes & summers about big water channels.
  5. Monthly for 2013-17 https://www.statista.com/statistics/322658/monthly-average-daily-temperatures-in-the-united-kingdom-uk/
  6. This link says that since 1910 the yearly ave mean temp is not much more than 7c all year. https://www.statista.com/statistics/610134/mean-air-temperature-uk/
  7. This link says its below 7c from Dec to March in England. I would expect Wales & Scotland to be longer. http://projectbritain.com/weather/average.htm
  8. The makers spec them as needed / better below 7c. Most make the distinction that they are not snow tyres but winter tyres. In the UK the mean air temp is below 7c for more than you think.
  9. Why do people confuse winter tyres with the need for snow or ice? But we only have X days snow per year etc etc. If the air temp is below 7c then they are better. Its that simple.
  10. Unless they have changed things the Woodlands one is not suitable for road towing.
  11. As I said lol. They can't just cancel / invalidate insurance. They have to serve notice.
  12. Insurance will pay out & then seek to cover its loses from the company.
  13. You often see old industrial walk in fridge or freezers being stripped out. The panels are modular so can be made to suit most plans. Should be cheap as they will be paying to scrap them.
  14. If you have at least 3 days worth I could help.
  15. These videos we are recorded live, as a normal part of Olivers training.
  16. Second video also staring Oliver. This time the re hitch.
  17. We use the Caernarfon test centre. Most of our customers are from within a 2 hour radius but some have come much much further. Most people are from the area to the left of the line.
  18. Are you looking to take your BE trailer test soon? We are producing a series of training videos (available for free) to help you to either self present or reduce the cost / time needed to get to standard. Our first one is how to unhitch your trailer. Starring Oliver from https://www.facebook.com/Roundwood-Tree-Technology-1258922…/
  19. Brill Thanks for that. Nice to know they are now approved.
  20. I was not sure at what temp the galv starts to cause problems. Does it actually need melting or just getting very hot? Also dep on how close the pipe is to the engine.
  21. I believe that to be the reason too.
  22. True. At least one must be lock for road use. Not both.
  23. Not everyone gets it plus you do build up a tolorance. I have had it & its not nice.
  24. Cant even see it implied. Yes it is in addition to CE marking. I think you can sell it as there are some vehicles that can use it legally. If however I asked for it to fit a post 98 M1 class car then they would be in breach if they supplied it & I would be in breach if I used it. Needs an EU number to show compliance with european type approval 94/20/ec
  25. Yes I know they are tough as old boots. I used to use them. Often the best tool for the job is not aproved for the job. PS most dont now that they should be locked when on the road. Which was the reason they were sugested to be used as they allow rotation. Road use must not rotate.
