  1. Yep, exactly what I was thinking actually. If I had the luxury of more time that's what I've always wanted to do. As well preventing algae, it would also free up premium real estate in the garden. It seems to me that the square nature of IBCs makes them particularly suitable for subterranean installation. My butts have run dry already, and I have a few.

  3. I'd be using them for water storage I think, suitably reinforced around the sides if necessary. (Water is going to be at a premium soon, as we've had no rain to speak of in weeks now. )
  4. Thanks for the transparency dude, but I don't believe anyone is really that interested. Rather than bleating on about something from another thread again; you could share some insight on the Trump tariffs chaos. As a fan, what do you perceive to be the rationale behind the incompetence and chaos? What should be the UK's response to the shit storm that's ensuing?
  5. Gold is doing well at the moment. In case anyone is wondering where to stash money from the now completely ****************ed American investments.
  6. Noting that Trump played no part in the writing of the book. He's probably not even read it, as he doesn't like reading, preferring to watch himself on telly!
  7. You'll need to start pissing on it as well, to get it truly hippified.
  8. Ummm, maybe. I'm more convinced if you say all those trees are afflicted with dieback. It just seems more prevalent these days, and I'm sure not only on Ash. Maybe because we have less trees, sicker trees or because we have less managed trees these days. When there were far more people working the land in general, perhaps there was more work put in to keeping the Ivy in check. I don't love Ivy, though I recognise it's high ecological value.
  9. To revive a previous, somewhat contentious topic; there's an awful lot of Ivy in that photo. Virtually every tree is afflicted. Surely that ain't right?
  10. Trump thinks tariffs can bring back the glory days of US manufacturing. Here’s why he’s wrong THECONVERSATION.COM The president’s actions are driven by nostalgia rather than reality.

  13. There was a good analysis of the infamous tariff equation earlier. The conclusion - yeah, it is a load of bollocks, economic illiteracy! Hence why you won't catch malaria if you consume plenty of G & Ts. And wear a pith helmet.
  16. 13 birds in a 10 minute recording. I think the 9.08 time was just where it was highlighting a particular one. I was listening to a Linnet as I wouldn't have a clue of anything about that bird.
  17. But not the alligators!
  18. It's a good time for birds out there at the moment, they must be loving this weather as well. For those with the Merlin App: go on then, show us your totals! I got 13 earlier today. This was at 10.00, reckon I could've got more earlier on.
  19. Some good news for a change. This is long overdue First Ofcom probe launched into suicide site exposed by BBC WWW.BBC.CO.UK BBC News found the forum, which has thousands of members, is linked to at least 50 deaths in the UK.
  20. I don't yet receive a pension but still, I'm more concerned about what the orange miasma is currently doing to it.

  25. Garlic would be a good fit I think. If you don't want to grow much then it makes sense to major on a cash crop like that. Minimal work once it's in the ground as well, it'll just sit there and do it's thing until it's ready to be picked in July.
