Weird. It looks man made to me, of some description. Too shiny to be tree resin from inside a hollow branch. More like plastic resin. What does it smell like when you cut or abrade it? -

Nah, I didn't. Never been a fan of House, early or any other subgenre. Actually, no, Progressive House ticks the boxes. That second one was more interesting. Nice metallic synth sound. Plus, amusing lyrics.

Yeah, I was wondering about mushies as I wrote that. I'm sure they weren't consumed by the masses. A few on the fridges like druids and witches undoubtedly. I'll be interested to learn more if you fancy researching the history of recreational drug use in the UK.

Guessing that was almost exclusively an indulgence of the upper class. I don't think the hoi polloi would have been able to afford such exotica back then. They'd have been restricted to plain old alcohol, beer/cider/mead or dirty old gin. It's all changed now though of course, since the international drug trade has become a huge industry, the prices have come right down.

It seems like Bracken is a villain of the piece here. Is there any effective control for it, other than herbicides presumably? Does anything eat it in sufficient quantities?
