  3. Hats off to you, you beat me hands down. I couldn't see the wood for the trees.
  4. Nah ND. You've failed to understand as per usual. Guess you're on about Covid yet again. Either you've misunderstood history or you're seeking to make political capital again by equating the horrors of the Holocaust with your own little bugbears. Seriously? I'm sure you stated recently that you were compassionate beyond belief. If you still think that Covid, (the world's response to it specifically), is the greatest existential threat that we face then I'm afraid that you are very much mistaken. Again. You should look back over your reams and reams of "contributions" on your threads. Much of it is perceived very much as "othering", of the unsubtle variety no less. That way lies horror.
  5. I'd Ashume that was Ash.
  6. That's proper shit. Extermination by stealth. If the cats themselves don't get the birdies, then their fur will. Great. They were feeling optimistic.
  7. Well worth reminding the MAGA, especially on this of all days. I imagine that if LGBT people were around in such numbers at that time they would definitely have been on the list. Before or after gay folk or Roma? Not sure. Probably green folk and "Climate Zealots" and Wokers wouldn't have stood a chance either. It all started with "othering" of groups of people they didn't like/understand/envied/felt threatened by, etc. Subtle othering at first and then less and less subtle. Just like we're seeing again these days. I think we do actually need to be very careful at this juncture, people need to wake up to what's going on in the Western World.
  8. I'd have to disagree with the mighty Google in this case SP. In my experience serious aphid infestations are always aided and abetted by ants. Always. The little buggers farm them rather than eating them. They eat the sugary stuff that they excrete, and nurture and protect the aphids from predators in return. A fascinating partnership, just not on my beans/apples/roses! Not sure if ants also work with wooly aphids, probably.
  9. Does look like wooly aphids. I suspect you will have a long tedious battle on your hands to eliminate them, even if you can enlist the help of an army of ladybirds. I've used methylated spirits on mealy bugs plenty off times in the past, it's highly effective at cutting through the protective wooly stuff, which makes them so hard to get rid of. I've not tried it on Wooly aphids but it might work also as the wooly stuff looks quite similar. I'm not sure the scale of the tree but if it's reasonably small you could buy a litre or two of meths, (or similar:- ethanol, rubbing alcohol etc), and go at all the fluffy white crap with a small stiff paint brush. Repeat every few months until it doesn't come back. Just an idea.

  12. Or could it be the other way around? Keir Starmer praises Donald Trump's role in Gaza ceasefire and hostage deal WWW.BBC.CO.UK The conversation comes after the president praised Sir Keir for doing a "very good job" as prime minister.

  16. Very good question. No idea. I'm sure there's thousands of books and now websites devoted to interpreting dreams though, if you were that way inclined. I don't recall ever having anything to do with a mobile phone either, though I tend not to remember dreams once I've woken. I used to frequently dream of flying. A mega jump that then became all out flying through the air. Used to love that, they were the best dreams. Not had one like that for years now sadly.
  17. Simple, honest chicken soup. Went large on the mushrooms just for the hell of it.

  19. Yeah I know, we're only picking a bowl every month or so. From one plant. Hypotheticallly thinking though. If you had a whole load of plants it could see you through. Might get a tad boring like.
  20. Yeah, fair comment. Pedantic but fair!
  21. Anyway, we need some tragicomedy to break up The DJ monotony.
  22. Mate, what are you on? It's making you paranoid, whatever it is that's your poison. Nowhere was I critical of your parenting approach, nor even seeking to give you advice. Once again: read the words that you are purportedly replying to. "Social media is a curse in many respects." - That's it, the sum total of your thoughts on the subject? Social Media is very pertinent to POTUS, this thread. Getting rid of fact checking and showing kids more and more harmful content is bad IMO. You of all people ought to know how easy it is to fall for the mis/disinformation and worse that gets spread on it. Covid isn't relevant, not sure why you've ranted so many words about it again here. Is there something you need to get off your chest?! You've got your own thread all about the old Covid BS anyway. You can try to argue with people about subjecting children to jabs on there if you want to, don't think you'll find anyone though. I don't believe any people were ever in favour of that, there was no point. This is an exercise in futility but hey ho. How do you think we should tackle the issue of children's rapidly deteriorating mental health and physical health? (It's not as easy as just not doing Lockdowns).
