    Eh!

Did you just plonk the stone in the soil? I used to grow them as a youth; the old three cocktail sticks and a jar of water trick. They almost invariably rooted after a few weeks, as you say. I found out recently that the leaves are edible. Used in Mexican cuisine. You could give it a try.

Millions tune in for three-week live stream of Sweden’s moose migration | Sweden | The Guardian WWW.THEGUARDIAN.COM Slow TV is attracting viewers with hits such as a knitting marathon, burning firewood and swimming salmon Den stora älgvandringen – Igår 00:00 WWW.SVTPLAY.SE I flera tusen år har älgarna vandrat samma leder för att ta sig till sommarens rika betesmarker. Följ årets vandring, som är... I see what you mean, they do have a certain movement about them. I can never quite take them seriously with that floppy nose.
  3. Exactly We'm on the same page Davey, China's Human Rights record is appalling. Which is why the rest of the world should be uniting against them to apply pressure to stop violations, such as what they're subjecting Muslim Uyghur's to. Your man Trump is doing the exact opposite, he's fragmenting the world order. Whilst also cosying up to the big boys of genocidal dictatorship, like Israel and Russia. It makes no sense, whichever way you choose to look at it.
  4. Looks too nice to burn, with those prominent medullary rays. I think Plum splits like buggery though.
  5. Bit addled again. You'll have to explain the random use of double quotation marks there. What has Israel got to do with anything, other than the fact that they buy a lot of US arms? I don't believe they make Apple products there, (they do grow a lot of actual apple apples obviously!). Anyway, it's not the US arms and aerospace industries that your man is trying to bring back onshore, it's all the other stuff that they buy from China, and the rest of the world.

  11. M and B, who own a Toby Carvery nextdoor, thought it was dead. So I've just heard. I reckon they saw a photo of it in the winter.
  12. Supposing for the sake of argument that Trump can somehow, miraculously, conjure up the massive infrastructure, supply chains, technical skills and whatever else is required to bring US manufacturing back onshore in the next couple of years, (to achieve his pretence, to MAGA). Essentially an impossibility in my opinion. The average hardworking American, just trying to get on in life, is not going to be willing or indeed able to work as hard as the average hardworking Chinese. When oh when are people going to realise the reality of the situation?
  13. True enough. It just seems a shame to have carried out such a brutal pollard operation on a decent looking tree, unless there was a valid reason. It'll be interesting to see the details come out on the story. Probably authorised by an office bod somewhere, who's never seen the tree.
  14. I think you could be right on the first point. 🤔 Not the second though; it's free to download. Or at least it was when I got it, I wouldn't have got if otherwise.
