  1. I think of myself more as a heavy smoker who doesnt want to die.
  2. Thats one of the reasons I have given up smoking. I can manage to get up and chop trees down whilst inhaling the foul smelling smoke of 20 cancer sticks a day but I'm aiming to start the old mountain climbing this year, so need to be proper fit.
  3. 4 days seems like a lifetime away. I need help and support and maybe one of those little inhaler pen things. oh and some patches and some gum and someone to smack me really hard every time I mention smoking. haha
  4. What??? Eating leaves and picking mites out of your pals body hair???:001_tt2:
  5. You cant have any claps though, cos 5 weeks ago was more like a premature new year resolution and not an official one. Bad luck.
  6. 5 weeks, holy sh**. How do you feel??? Im gonna be elated if I can go 48hours. Seriously, good on ya mate.
  7. In 5 minutes time it will be 24 hours since my last smoke. WOOHOO. Look at how healthy and fit I am now. Try and hold me back, I dare you.
  8. I may have mentioned 4 posts back, I have quit smoking.
  9. I HAVE quit smoking. (round of applause appreciated but not neccessary)
  10. Oh and one more thing quickly, speaking of Denon, (for those that who care) I use denon to run my surround sound on the old telly box, and I really cant complain. Good quality kit.
  11. Heres the speakers I have at the moment, Heybrook HB1's Mk3's. 1993 speaker of the year. Not the most expensive in the world, but handle anything. Oh and anyone willing to doubt Naim Audio being the BEST in the world. I have just heard that BENTLEY have just chosen Naim to produce their audio systems. mmmmmm Speaks volumes to me.
  12. Not to worry bout the lack of visor, as it was just a lung club pose, obviously the saw wasnt even running so risk off flying debris small enough to cause eye injuries was at a bare minimum.
  13. They all go the right way, when they are made from a rope and harness they go downwards. haha
  14. 18Stoner told me off the other day for how rubbish my felling cuts were, called me lazy he did. He said "whats the point in putting a directional cut in, if you are just gonna slice through your hinges anyway". That was me told.
  15. C'mon Bob, be reasonable 7and a half out of 10
  16. I thought chopping boards etc were made with loads of little squares of end grain stuck together.
  17. That is just a teaser, when I get my camera working properly and have 15 minutes I will pop pics of my system up, that pic is the old one which has since been upgraded. Watch this space. I listen to all sorts of music, mainly with a rock influence, but, as long as it is dynamic and not repetitive and played load, most things sound awesome. You need some proven "test" tracks in your collection, to compare systems with, or when you have tweaked anything. I choose : (from compact disc) Supertramp - Goodbye Stranger Chemical Brothers - Block rocking beats Radiohead - Idioteque The enemy - no time for tears my chemical romance - Desolation row (from vinyl) Donovan - Hurdy Gurdy The who - Wont get fooled again.
  18. 25 litre plastic oil drum cut top and bottom off. Insert, fill, pull out. haha
  19. I had "how many net sacks to a cubic metre loose" the other day. Told em I would investigate.
  20. Just bang your rope over the natural crotch, Cheap as chips.
  21. As I see my self as a true audiophile, I do not agree with wireless systems. To enjoy music properly it must be reproduced as it was intended and recorded. Music is a language of emotion and in order for it to weave its spell on you it has to reach your ears. Many hi-fi systems simply do not allow the music to do this. Instead they filter, alter, corrupt and lose the delicate signal that makes up the music.Bass / treble controls and graphic equalisers are for chavs. Adding wirless connections into this equation means you are not hearing what you should be hearing. Spend more, get more. Dont fall for "gadgets". Buy quality. We buy cars for thousands of pounds that lose thousands of punds of value in very little time and cost massive amounts to run and maintain. Why not spend money on something that still works as good in 15 years time that can constantly go to and enjoy, let your hair down, reminise about past memorys, stir emotions etc etc. Invest in the best.
  22. None of us then??? We do it for the love, (at least it seems like that sometimes)
  23. Thats real smart, What is it????? haha
  24. Super duper fantastic news. Well done and many congrats to you and much more importantly to the Misses.
  25. I agree with Tommer, who agrees with SWB, who agrees with mozza, who agrees with Andy Collins.
