  1. ha ha ha ha.
  2. I used to be a semi-professional rollerblader and had 3 sponsorship deals, free clothes, hotel expenses paid etc etc, to do demos / competitions etc. Had a couple of magazine articles and stuff done on me, but had to give it all up 8 years ago for the family life and skating didnt pay bills unless you were top dog and lived in america. Anyways.... a few friends of mine are still doing it and are absolutely amazing, and one of my best friends travels the global making videos. Here is a clip he took for a dvd he made about a tour across the u.s. Scared the crap outta me first time I watched it. Been in some near misses but this really is nasty. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cM3yBv2Vz9A]YouTube - Billy O'Neil - Hit By Car - the full Video ! ! ! ! ! ![/ame]
  3. Nokia 5140i. Classic Nokia ring tone, and even got a colour screen. Get in.
  4. Yes.... but once again the dialogue is far too complex.
  5. All I do know is that Pete deliberatley left big spikes ona tree then was complaining he was scared of impaling himself in the nether regions if his gaffs slipped out. Thankfully no first aid was required in or around Pete's goooleys.
  6. I have been following this foreign language thread with much interest but now I am bored of all the words consisting of more than 5 letters, so shall go and sleep it off. Second thoughts,.....Fireman Sam is on ITV1.
  7. In the pics ive seen there was NO crowd??? Pray tell Mr Bullman, what inside information you hold.
  8. Too quick for me Highland.
  9. Can anyone think of a good Jeremy Clarkson-esque catchphrase?. "some say......(blah blah blah), to us , he is THE TWIG."
  10. My first thoughts were you Mr Bullman haha. Its very clever.
  11. Yeah but the public need to be able to understand hahaha:001_tt2:
  12. THE TWIG. New fletcher stewart catalogue, numerous pictures. Who is it???
  13. I was in hospital once and asked if they could put in the drip but apparently not.
  14. APF group lunge????
  15. I'd like to add some more because I have re-read through what i posted and it does seem really negative, like overly negative, and that is not what I meant. A fair few items / articles in the issues I have read were really, really imformative and interesting. Looking through the magazine again I have wuickly come to the conclusion that there are only 3 people involved in the making. Is this correct???? If so I can fully apprecaite what a mammoth task it must be to produce anything above on beyond what has already been done. Or is it?? there must be a way for us to have a quality magazine available in the uk???? My feelings are it needs to be fresh, interesting, and have more depth. We want to have reviews of products months before the product is available, we want to be kept up to date with industry news, events etc, we want competitions, we want prizes, we want some free stickers to plaster on our helmets and trucks, we want national geographic quality photographs, we wanna know what they are up to "across the pond", we want detailed descriptions and diagrams of interesting new rigging techniques or ideas, We wanna know inside information on standards, products and practises months before people who dont subscribe find out. We want it all..........wel I do. Well..................I do.
  16. Looks like a good day was had, good on ya guys for braving the weather.
  17. I like the way it said "arborist" on his jumper, just in case anyone was wondering.
  18. Im gonna try and use this oppurtunity wisely and give you my own humble feelings on your magazine. I'm not in any way gonna start spouting off or anything because I have 2 copies by the side of my toilet that I skim through whilst.........it's quiet. haha I like the magazine, I have copies on the dashboard of my truck, but only because its Arb related, I DO NOT find it "essential" ARB, and thats what bugs me. Its maybe just me, or my opinion but it all seems so sort of "weighted" in the direction of whatever your advertising / reviewing. Almost like a Biast view on things. It has the feel of a group of friends who all own companies or have invested interests in companies, who have started a magazine and are now using it to advertise their products. Just me???? Also the price really bugs me. £25 oh thats not expensive. Oh yes it is £6.25 (per issue) for something thats no more full of content than something you could get for around £1.25 once a week. I read a review on some silky saws once and it was like reading the blurb off of the sheath the saws come in. I appreciate that Essential Arb is aimed at a minority market and is hardly gonna reach FHM size audiences so funding may be at a minimum but I just wish there was some way of making it feel and read like more "effort" has been put in. I hope this doesnt sound harsh but it is my feedback. It may not be the opinion of anyone else in the world but it is how I feel. I love the idea of the magazine, I love the thought of once a month my tree workers bible dropping through my letterbox and me skulking off to a quiet corner to salivate over the glossy pages. Will this ever happen??? Not right now. Im pretty sure that those in charge of doing the hard stuff like actually produce the magazine, artwork, layouts, etc etc are probably the same people that are going out in the field and collecting the content which is probably why it may feel somewhat rushed sometimes, but 4 months between issues???? Come on, for £6.25 per issue I would expect to flicking through the magazine for 2 months and then keeping it in a folder for future refences. Not reading from cover to cover in 2 days and then chucking it by the side of my toilet for it to collect dust on top of the bathroom scales.
  19. I know Shrek could spout off 500 words, but could he actually write them down in a sane manner.???? haha More than 3000 posts say NO hahaha. I would like to subscribe to the magazine but was put off a few months back when I was about to pay and it said it was not a secure location???? So I cancelled the transaction..
  20. Concentrate more on the visuals in the magazine, loadsa pictures from competitions etc, close ups of what kit other guys are using etc etc. After all, none of us can actually read and we just look at the pictures anyway. haha
  21. I can just imagine you all Lunging at each other now. Have fun and bring back photos.
  22. Hasnt Bronson served more years than murderers but never actually killed anyone???
  23. Ok, Ok. I am a non-smoker who is looking forward to a healthy, happy life, growing old watching my kids grow up, whilst enjoying the finest outdoor activities in some of the most amazing settings in the world.
  24. Kinda re-start. I used to be a bloody good rock climber, free climbing or with harness. But I have never climbed a mountain, just a couple of medium fells in the lakes. I'm aiming for Kilimanjaro before I'm 40, so got 12 years to "practise". haha
