told you she would have hair!! sweet mate bet your well chuffed
  4. looking at those videos of the performance i would sell the lot off and not both, the first video the saw is cutting through soft wood and is not quick as steve says. second video looks more impressive until you realise that the wood being cut is best part rotten by the looks of it. I would not use a saw all day that cut like that . I can see a saw being used like that being knackered in 6 months of day in day out use.
  5. Thank you all very good advice all taken on board. got some nice pices of sycamore in the shed and some ash so good starting wood. As said my dad has the lathe and did start producing some decent pieces so i am not alone keep it coming any tips and things to avoid you never know we might get a turning sub forum on here!!! hint hint

  16. nice carving there. Can`t think i have seen one but an acorn carved out of oak would be a bit interesting, or a fir cone from fir a conker from horse chestnut liking the shell alot
  17. well spotted, massive bark change at one point, pollarded about 20-25 years ago? Bit of trimming up and a crown thin it would look o.k
  18. Not if you think you are Mary Poppins and can stand on fresh air!! Good luck in this debate jon lad
  19. would this quote be the same if the tree was a willow? This in my eyes is a true pollard, the other attempts you see where the crown has been reduced by 99.9% in my eyes is butchery. In for a penny in for a pound i say. Good job wish i would be around in 30 years time to see the new crown in all it`s glory!

    Combi Can ?

having used husky combi cans first then switchig to stihl clear cans i am converted, stihl cans are alot easyer to use being clear, the auto fillers work fine on both and i do like the auto oil filler on the stihl can also.
  21. soon find out who it was with all those finger prints:sneaky2:
  22. I have been to most of the interviews i have had with a collar and tie. no suit. seams to be a halfway point it shows you have made the effort but not OTT If 2 people come to me for an interview one had T-shirt and jeans the other a collar and tie i would be more impressed with the effort, i would think this person is concerned that he looks right and that is good for company image
  23. I know arboventure training near New Milton, hampshire do MEWP training NPTC Jo Hedger gets on here from time to time a PM should sort costs out. bit of a travel but might be viable.
  24. so you don`t have the cruth compression now then
  25. if you got as wide a arse as i have then the weaver will pinch your hips tight and you can`t move you legs above the knees! not nice i found the the ekn kolibri by far the most comfy and still had use of my legs also worth a try is the Komet dragonfly, seated butterfly not to bad but a bit tight accross the bridge.
