  5. There is no point using Grazon with round up as roundup will kill everything green and grazon will only kill broad leaf weeds. If you want to retain grasses then use grazon. just use roundup, make sure there is good regrowth before spraying and now until october is a good time to spray.
  6. hello stranger

    hows it going

  7. many happy returns Bobski hope you got what you wished for!!
  8. get yourself to a arb event and try them on. Then go haggling to all the suppliers and get the best value for money between the two. I say Skylotech but then i am a bit lardy, also if you intend to have children in the future choose skylotech as i have heard the squeal when the treemotion bites !!
  9. cool, hello , BRB need a coffee

  10. terrano can be expensive to repair Dad had one and was quoted £450 for a steering pump. Not sure on other parts/cost a nice shogun would be ideal wiz!!! lol
  11. love the last 2 seconds , looked like you were coming down for lunch!! great little video and a splended looking job as always
  12. could be a little owl hole! nut hatch?
  13. this is the Assisted felling technique taught on UA2.2 NPTC course. As often you get powerlines where your fence is as they have grown to the light. good stuff dean using the prussik looops makes the set up much easyer and adjustable. you can also use a prussick in front of your anchor point to hold it so tree won`t fall back then you can get away with one rope.
  14. thanks for the replies I am sure the free climbing will come in time, He just wants to pretend he is cutting trees and climbing like a tree surgeon. I can`t see it will do him any harm , hope to get him up some decent height trees this week. Don`t get me wrong he will free climb the small lilac in the garden and some laurel hedge that has neve been cut.
  15. I was always told to cut yew in the summer as if you get a frost after cutting you can damage the regrowth!
  16. very interesting and may be in 10 years i may have more insighit into it. My youngest son is made on tree climbing he is 6, now i am encouraging him to do it but getting him in a harness and ropes. I don`t know if he will continue to climb after a vervous moment or he will give up. am i right in encouraging him at this age? should i be letting him free climb first then give him a harness? I hope he will take up a life climbing trees as i feel it is a great way to earn money. I wish i took up arb instead of agri but hey ho i do enjoy working with trees now. I look forward to reading your thoughts Did anyone start climbing with ropes and harness at this sort of age and how you getting on now? was you to of the class at college?
  17. no worries I am sure it isn`t i think we only bought the tickets i have here. any case we will get a call thanks
  18. It sure is you daryll, i have the ticket next to it here. Steve just checking the Joe on the list , has the phone number got 1000 in it, i don`t think it is my joe but just checking. thanks mate Think we need a campaign to promote Mr Blair for FM!
  19. I think that is one reason why arb is low paid because of the old connections to forestry and farming. At least with farming find the right job you may get a house included, then farm workers are on a dam good wage . this is from first hand experiance now having to pay rent to live in the house i used to get with my old job! and earn the same amount each week.
