    Rigging a spar

Shame some other young climbers don`t take on how reg does it like you have!!!!!! no good smashing it down to put a chog through the very expensive windows at the bottom of that slope!!!!
  5. hey buddy, sounds a good plan get a rowan to replace ash for ash.
  6. bit unfair to complain of people taking the piddle when you won`t state aprice for the saw!, It might be all they can afford! thank you now for stating a price:thumbup1:
  7. Just put up what you want for it it willl make life alot easyer. If you can buy new for £460 then second hand it would be £230, second hand extra bar and chain £30 and a pair of trousers that won`t fit and i don`t want. £250 would be nice for a reply to any offers made as well just so those folks know you want more! you might even get a second bid! good luck
  8. you could always replant with a nice ASH and in 10 years have a 30ft fell!!
  9. Stoxs 1 - Ian Leach 0:001_tt2:
  10. agree Ian a Fraxcious Excelcior would be a nice replacement. sorry about the spelling:blushing:
  11. ohh quiet true but your not going to get a decent size tree that won`t get broken with the first football for a few quid, try hundreds, which could be spent on keeping this one in trim:001_cool: for many years
  12. Ohh i love that goblet, nice Ian when you post up a piece could you put what wood it is please. cheers
  13. but the customer would like to keep this tree, LOL:001_tt2: i think ash are great trees and have a good use after thier time. you can do pretty much what you like to them and they keep producing more and more lovely firewood!
  14. appologies for missing that bit:blushing: but for people to remove it without even looking at it is a bit hastie. I am sure the tree will survive even with the main leader removed, being ash it will throw a bit of growth , that will be a good indicator to the health of the whole tree:thumbup1:
  15. why remove the whole tree? get up there remove the dead branch and monitor it for the next year or so and asses the whole tree condition, make a brief report of the tree condition say every 6 months and write it down . One dead branch dosn`t mean it will fall over the next wind we get! If the tree was totally dead it will probally stay stood up for years. Have a close look along every main road you go along see how many dodgie trees are there with hundreds of vehicles passing under them.
  16. even speakin da language Da tree surgery,
  17. hyraulic chainsaws used to be produced for use out of mewps, utility companies used them alot. Not seen a modern one but it would be alot quieter than a petrol kiddie
  18. Look at the size of the flask!!!!!!!!!!!! If that is sat on the seat it must be 3ft high and 5 litre capacity.
  19. yea me to LOL!!! well just outside the village, where are you then? small world isn`t it, P.M if you like
  20. i am sure you mean timber but each to their own if not:blushing:
