  1. Right just got in from removing the rollers both dirty bottome roller full of crap. The bushes look brand new light green no play at all also the motors have no play. greese is all there where it should be have put them back together and bottom roller still sits a little pissed ??. I can see the dirt and crap would have been seriously restricting the greese as it was packed tight so no more squeeks and i think its been a little wonkey since i got it from OP were talking 5m max. I did get pics so if any one wants to see let me know and ill post. Also use an engine hoist i had to remove the hopper the rollers:thumbdown: would not fit through and its bloody heavy lol.
  2. Cheers TW, The roller does drop one side a bit but it drops towards the hydro motor not by much but i notice it ??. The squeeling has stopped thanks to a good lube up.
  3. Cheers Rupe, Ill let you know how i do lol.
  4. I turned the rollers on while i greesed it and it took alot of greese i checked none was coming out of the sides. My thoughts were a worn bush is this a real pain to fix if it is. When removing the bottom roller is there any thing i should be aware of like delicate parts or a certain way of doing it cheers for your help guys
  5. On friday we chipped 4 loads 2tonne a pop near the end of the day the machine bottom feed roller started squeeling very loud could it just be a lack of greese or is there something else going wrong. Are these easy enough to take apart and look for any damage.
  6. I got hit in the head by an ejected piece of wood from the chipper i lifted my visor up and hit me on the nose and eyebrow 1cm over would have destroyed my eye. I also have a little scar on my head to remind me how lucky i am and put them f..in glasses on at all times no excuses You only get one pair of eyes. Dont take the risk.
  7. So if there that good if my chipper was stolen and the sattrak did not recover it because it was faulty do we get another chipper what guarantee do you get
  8. I ended up with hiax protector extremes took over a week to wear in but gr8 for spiking and standing in v forks. they are abour 240-250 but i would expect an easy 12months from them. Plus they are class 2 so almost muppet proof:sneaky2:
  9. I have not had this problem ??. It requires a readjustment of your technique.
  10. Yeah only had it couple months its a dodle to retrieve i am yet to get it stuck and i do try lol. if you want one hurry i got it for 199 but now there 250 and i think may go up again. Must say really well built and makes climbing a breeze you can zip up a tree with very little effort and you dont get tired after many goes.
  11. This is my one very nice does take a little getting used to and your arms work abit more holding the rope while you tend the slack as you have no friction aiding you.
  12. In the interest of honest yesterday i got lazy for the first time ever i used earmuffs and not my helmet whilst using the chipper and a piece of wood shot back and split my head open im now sporting a 1 1/2 inch slice from the top of my eye to my forehead which will leave a scar to remind me what a lazy **** i was. So as we all know wear your visors at all times no exceptions or as like me you may end up with a scar or worse you could loose your sight. We all make mistakes maybe get tired and a little lazy but thats when your learn a lesson. Im gutted believe me its nothing major but the pure idiotic lazyiness of it is annoying. BE SAFE.
  13. i got a dosko rebuilt it cost £2200 all together and it does the job very well. dont use anything less than 20hp.
  14. Id expect that machine to chip twice the size and twice as quick for the money so 12 inch capacity with 8 tonne per hour. Now i know thats not the case. I dont think many will be sold and i really feel for current owners of these german machines as your parts must be rediculously expensive. How ever it sure looks the part and i bet it does a great job i just dont think your getting your monies worth. Ill stick with a timberwolf.
  15. Velcro buckingham titaniums light very strong last for ever comfty even after 4 hours must have decent boots tho or you will get an ache in the arch of your foot as with all spikes.
  16. Just stack a pile chip then stack another pile and chip much more efficient dont need to modifiy your machines. All that slowing down and speeding up will reduce fuel efficiency.
  17. 395 is good after 1 year 200's are past their peak so £400 a year for a good saw aint so bad.
  18. Axle. I just ordered a new one now all over a puncture
  19. Does any one have a second hand dosko gear box and axle
  20. I have a 6inch petrol tw its really good im well chuffed with it i ran it side by side with the 6inch 150tw and the little petrol was faster dont care what any one says tested. Its 575kgs tows very easy very easy to move with 1 man and the only thing that broke was a blade after it eat a multitool. Never ever broken down i use it 5 days a week 2-4 tonn per day. Service it alot greese it alot and imo the very best productivity to weight. Parts are easy to get. Its cost about 6 but earned it back very quick. There are better machines but apples for apples this is perfect for a small to medium firm. Always keep sharp blades or it will chip like a toy. i change blades every 5 hours.
  21. Sounds like if its the older version the nc/no switches are corroded.
  22. I would wait save £7500 and grab a nice iveco 35c they are gr8 im getting one soon better built better engine power better pulling power and just runs rings round a tranny.
  23. Should be named and shamed with photos of their work. I always tell my customers make sure they produce valid certification and insurance specific to tree surgery and it works.
