  1. Yeah mate wud like to see it i got a 2001 24 hp timberwolf looking for more powerful engine i know kolar do a 27hp vtwin.
  2. Can i ask what security did you have to protect i think it would serve every one well to know what not to use. I live in essex so will keep an eye out for second hand machine. Unbelievable.
  3. Ha ha yep had some strange callers. Get alot of old ladies expecting me to work for 8 pound an hour like there gardeners you can imagine the polite response that gets.
  4. I been looking into putting the 35hp briggs vanguard engine on my little 6 inch would be the smallest quckist chipper in its class. Any one else thought about modding little chippers. Since the housing on the small timberwolfs is the same as the diesel 6 inch they can take 35hp no probs but petrol will be super quicker so no worries with the no stress.
  5. Really what machine do you have.
  6. cable from battery red one goes onto back of starter motor if you have a key start ignition a wire from the ignition goes onto the starter motor well it does on a honda so you need power and an activator.
  7. As long as it takes i use a 45ft ladder for the tall trees so saves lots of hard work. As has been said to many variable age tree weather you may be tired.
  8. Nothing more than the person makes a excellent climber. We are all very different so its the ones willing to put that extra effort into thier job that make the cream of the crop. But the variables are just way to many we are not living in a perfect world so time and money plus customers who dont know the damage they can cause control what we as climbers can do. Like i said people are different some people like to be proud of their work some are just happy to do an ok job an get paid. Which are you
  9. I think the difference in air volume is the fans so id guess buy a br600 fan and that might increase the airflow. They could have restricted carbs not sure. Again really good machine no complaints worth every penny
  10. I got the br600 and not problems at all with it starts easy always very powerful can blow the grass out of the ground haha.
  11. think its 01/02 have to check. its a tw150 housing the little chipper its not square. the tray has the older style stopper bar what you got.
  12. I think one qualified tree surgeon should be able to train some one to the same level. If you have chainsaw tickets you should be able to train someone to the same level your qualified to since you past so you know the standard needed to teach a certain ticket. Should be able to teach a guy what you was taught on the course then you should be able to asses him since you are qualified and past the same test. But you should be held responsible if you have not taught them correctly.
  13. Really thats very insteresting ill have to try a metal worker then.
  14. hahaha at least he is ok till he had to tell the boss imagine that conversation lol
  15. Im in essex, damn never say no to free labour lol. What you should say is look ill come in for £35 a day dont expect to work me like a dog but ill be well worth the money. Im getting busy i cant see why you aint got no takers mate.
  16. Ha ha well i got some repsonses then lol. no i just have a few welds on my one and i am giving it a big over haul bearings and every consumerble they use. So i thought id have a nosey about see if the newer shape hoppers are knocking about. cheers for the website ill give it a try.
  17. Does any one have any tw 150 spares ie HOPPER.
  18. arrrrrhhh i use something like that. have you had any seo work done.
  19. Shrek how do you get them stats about your website
  20. All i know is my insurance company never asked about nptc certs before i had them and when i got them they said it did not make any difference. I had been accepted without certs. So you can get insured without certs i also did have a good chat with a hse inspector who laid down in black and white all you need is proof of competance. NPTC is not required by law proof of competance is required by law. How you prove that is down to you.
  21. I think timberwolf have the best no stress quicker than most other chipper. I think it could use stronger springs and more teeth on the rollers, imagine loads of sharp cone shaped teeth could really grip the wood. I think 7inch by 7inch would be nice on the timberwolf. I love the blade changing on a timberwolf a moron could do it. I would use better quality bearings which you could have greese nipples to keep it lubed up. I would build it so you could expose the rotor with some sort of hinge on the rotor housing cos i like looking a it haha.
  22. Would that be the douglas fir 209ft nice size. The world record 379ft of the californian redwood Hyperion. What a hight huh imagine pricing that one up haha.
  23. I was stating the newer turbo transit with 90bhp but i honestly did mean the old 2.5na.
  24. I use stihl part sythetic. I do have the stihl bio for enviro sensitive areas. I would like to fully convert to bio for my health my workers health and the enviro as we can breath in upto a litre of chain oil a year. But but but i cant justifie the expensive price its to dear twice the price and yes it gunks up after few weeks. I know of a company which uses chip oil haha but i think its to thin myself.
  25. What they did was slowly increase the course prices over the years then thought hang on heres a winner make them redo the courses. No no they will kick up about that so make them do refreshers they will moan but lump it. Its funny the refresher is almost the same as the courses ie writtle cs30/31 £860 5 days the refresher £380 i think and the refresher is only a 1 day course wow fook me sideways. So you work the maths out and this is just a refresher to make sure you aint forgot how to change a spark plug air filter and b you can remember how to cut a tiny log oh and they will chuck in some new techniques kind of like reinventing the wheel stuff im guessing other wise what can be changed. Sorry about the rant i seem to get annoyed by all this. Would it not be very funny if people could train on the job and log hours experience etc would that not put NPTC backs up they would loose the monopoly on arb training.
