  1. If you`re on a new rope they can do that for a while until they milk properly.
  2. Cheers. Theres a few people i know who could do with that.
  3. Whats the necessities to get home spliced stuff LOLERed. Having just forked out a load on a whoopie sling i`d be interested in making them in the future?
  4. Ditto. The only time i ever did one was on my assesment.
  5. Well done. I think cs31 is actually quite difficult.
  6. Thats pretty much it. Take your time, don`t show off. Good luck.
  7. that was a reply to the josharb post.
  8. same with logs. you can get them to land the right side of the fence. practice not over a fence!
  9. Splendid! I`m glad someone is interested. ... any others?
  10. found this. Don`t know if its any good to anyone. Its seems to be current. Grants for Tree Surgery and Pruning - Grants - Ribble Valley Borough Council
  11. i think you should have had a poll to see if a poll on polls is really needed
  12. I don`t know about the technicalities but my advice would be buy a new carb and fit it yourself rather than pay someone. That will save a few quid!

    boots

The protector extreme hit that price. Seems to have come down a bit though. I`m reconsidering haix boots. Every pair i buy falls apart quicker than the last. They are good to climb in, but i certainly wouldn`t recommed forking out £200 on them. Others may disaggree.
  14. i find the skylotec pivit too much on the leg loops and the leg loops spin round. I`m starting to get used to it but sometimes its annoying. Never used sequoia so i can`t comment.
  15. I havn`t but i know someone who has.
  16. Nd is a higher qualification. Might be useful in the future. Depends on your circumstances, how old you are etc. Personally if i had the chance i would. If you can do the tech cert maybe consider that also.
  17. Groundsman needed Thursday this week in Stroud Glos if anyone is interested.
  18. Water. Its a bit boring sometimes to stop (same as food) and get somone to send up water but dehydration really affects performance and judgement. Its trick with eating. I hate climbing on a full stomach but you`re right. Its better to eat a bit. Maybe we need to carry little pouches like the first aid kits but with biscuits in!
  19. Don`t overwork! Most accidents i have had close proximity to are from people who are working too hard, too long, too late etc. On the ground i am always very aware of where the saw will go if it kicks ( after an 026 came at my face ) i don`t always, on reflection do this in the tree. A friend of mine had a saw kick back into his throat from a tensioned sequoia branch. I think being away of where the chain could go is very important.
  20. sorry, couldn`t get a link up but some info at that address
