  1. Just watched it again (knowing the outcome this time). I’m a big AJ fan - IMO he is the best heavyweight out there (and I’m secretly desperate for him to easily knock that big-mouthed cokehead prat Fury out (to silence him and his bumboy fans forever hopefully)). Brilliant fight tonight - AJ was poor from the start though. He definitely didn’t appear prepared for Ruiz’s work-rate and power. From the beginning Ruiz took the fight to Joshua. When AJ knocked him down there was no way he expected the recovery from Ruiz, and the massive left was the beginning of the end for Joshua. Nobody has hurt him like that before, and he was literally saved by the bell in the 3rd. After that it was self preservation/running scared/out of his depth (something I doubt he’d trained for basically). I’m made up for Ruiz - he appears to be a decent fella who has just had his dreams become reality! Awesome stuff, I hope he gets the chance to really capitalise on it and make a ridiculous amount of money (as there will be movers and shakers in the sport who cash in massively on the back of him). Nice poke in the eye for Eddie Hearn too...
  2. We were looking at fitting a clearview around that size (of which I have plenty of experience, own 2 others and struggle to look beyond) but ended up fitting a Jotul as it looked fantastic (much more modern, which suited the room etc) and was on paper a better performer. Looks aside, the Jotul is a bit of a disappointment - it’s nowhere near as good as the clearviews for controllability or general ‘burn anything’ness! As has been said, try and see both of your choices in action before deciding.
  3. There are a few variants of this part (dependant on serial number) - try to ensure you refit the correct one. It’s a crap design that fails regularly unfortunately.
  4. What he said is relevant anywhere - not sure what you are kicking off about?
  5. Just seen the tv aerial...
  6. The customer is always right.
  7. We had suspected subsidence in a property - ummed and ahhed over involving the insurers for the same reasons as yourself. In the end we bit the bullet, their expert came out, clarified that it was in fact settlement and wasn’t an issue. If in your case it is subsidence I’d imagine you will need to call upon your insurers as it is unlikely to be a cheap fix... From a future value point of view, once the insurers action a repair there should not be any further issues. If they ascertain it is not subsidence then likewise, no issues (other than the cost you will incur making good, which you are facing anyway). I’d involve them personally.
  8. I bet there are grants involved somehow on investments of that scale
  9. Couldn’t you get the part next day from someone like L S Engineers? Can’t be that expensive, surely better to cough up and get back to work than fanny about with a spurious warranty claim? Also, did you buy the saw from the warranty/local dealer?. May have had a bearing on their willingness to help...
  10. That is mint!!! What a great setup, you win!
  11. I haven’t seen one in the flesh but these seem good value for money - a firm called liverseed trailers are always listening them cheaply on Facebook - https://www.meredithandeyre.co.uk/trailer-range/flat-bed-trailers/2 I’ve not personally had great experiences with Brian James - we have a plant trailer that keeps cracking (amongst other issues) even though it looks a very well made bit of kit. Also, I’d avoid the small (10’’) wheels and/or really low profile tyres (all wheel sizes) on any trailer unless absolute minimum load height is essential - they can’t take any form of abuse/sidewall damage etc and we seemed to be forever replacing them. The best trailer wheel/tyre combo in my experience is the current Ifor Williams 12’’ 185 heavy duty available on their tippers and plant trailers - we have had zero issues in the 18 months we’ve been running these on 3 trailers (he says, touching wood!). I don’t know if they offer them on their flatbeds but I’d certainly be spec’ing them if possible.
  12. Have you got your Velcro gloves to help persuade one of those sheep into your tent with you?...
  13. Winchmax are very good if you go electric.
  14. Parbuckle the logs up ramps off the side as F2F says - you can roll really big timber up that way. You'll need a redirect for your winch off the opposite side of the trailer - then take the cable over the top of the log and back under it and secure the hook to the trailer near the redirect. It is amazing how big a piece you will roll.
  15. Can be easier to load/balance to get the nose weight right, theoretically more stable on road, the tyres aren’t working as near to their rated capacities so less likely to puncture, a single puncture is less likely to have detrimental effects on stability, they impress less load onto the tow vehicle (which can make them harder to drag across a field), the load is spread over a greater contact area so they sink in less off road and brake better in slippery conditions, harder to manoeuvre due to tyre scrubbing. Pros and cons for twin and tri axle - if you are going to be running fully loaded a lot a tri axle is definitely worth considering imo.
  16. I wouldn’t entertain a plant style trailer with fixed sides for your proposed use either - massively more difficult to unload/load just about anything (other than plant of course!).
  17. Tipper bed is about 4 inches higher than the flatbed (Ifor Williams 12x6 trailers).
  18. We had no end of problems with the 362 after they went to the electronic carb, I’d personally steer well clear. I think you are probably asking a bit too much with both saws on a 24 inch bar - I’m sure they will pull it but not sure for how long...
  19. Iveco Daily and Nissan Cabstar are the only two AFAIK - the 3.0L engined Daily will pull a house down in pretty much any state of tune (fantastic tow vehicle).
  20. Remove the belts and try to find movement
  21. Collapsed bearing? Get a bar and see if you can move the flywheel up/down/side to side.
  22. So basically what you are saying is that nobody should buy anything off you unless there is a trade show on, as they will be paying 15% more than you will be selling the same product for next Friday/week/month (delete as applicable). Understood, cheers!
  23. Would be the perfect machine for you TVI - still good value IMO.
  24. Struggling to find any pics of the vans I painted. Both these were done at the same time, both bare ali (the Dyna was aluminium planks that were a couple of years old when painted, the Iveco had brand new aluminium sheets). As said, etch primer followed by blue 2-pack, then yellow vinyl straight on top. This pic was after 5 years or so, and they weren’t looked after. The paint never lifted/bubbled - it worked brilliantly.
  25. I’ve etch primed (some mad expensive green stuff) and 2-packed brand new plain aluminium sides (with no rubbing down/prep etc other than a degrease) as per your top picture, and subsequently vinyl sign written straight on top once dry. Still all in place now 7 or 8 years later. Had a few flies and dandelion seeds in it though as I sprayed it outside on a day like today... (You could only notice if up very close!).
