  1. I’d be very wary of tipping a little tractor over with a forestry winch. It’s not wheelies particularly, these winches will flip tractors over sideways if you aren’t careful (and compact tractors aren’t generally known for their stability).
  2. Bit early surely?
  3. I’ve got a big Tajfun with radio control/powered out feed etc and it is very good. If they do something the right size I’m sure it would be a great bit of kit.
  4. Seriously - give up on the Logbullet idea. You’ve given it an incredible chance but sometimes you need to admit it isn’t the right machine for the job you are doing. You need something bigger by the sounds of it, this thing will bankrupt you.
  5. Stick it on here/on its own thread if you can please, I’d be very interested.
  6. Thursday and Saturday?…
  7. Didn’t know you could get vaccinated for monkey pox?….
  8. How dare you - nothing filthy about this hiviz!!
  9. A bit, especially when filled up with buckets/implements etc at the front… Doesn’t cause any issues on the Hilux or Cabstars, but is a bit cruel to jockey wheels if unhitching loaded!
  10. Like it’s made to measure (which I’d imagine it was, as there isn’t much point of a plant trailer of this size otherwise!). If the trailer is only to move a specific item of plant then a well-fitting plant trailer can’t be beaten (we have them sized correctly for tracked chippers and diggers). They are rubbish for other duties though. If you want something general purpose make sure you can take the sides off and have a flat-bed as a minimum requirement.
  11. The new Greenmech Evos are supposed to be brilliant (but I’ve no personal experience). I had a demo of the UFKES Greetec Cheetah (30/80 I think) which is a great tool if you want maximum capacity from something towable under 3.5 tonnes. It’s a nice small-site clearance machine, works very well as a digger fed machine but is still properly set up for hand feeding. Really really expensive though…….
  12. That would be a monster of a thing to get in anywhere, mega if you’ve got the space for it though!
  13. I’d agree with Bob - particularly if moving tractors with various implements attached. A plant trailer doesn’t allow any overhang in any direction and is a real ‘one-trick-pony’. I’ve got a 16 foot Bateson triaxle tilt bed which is brilliant. If you aren’t looking for the lowest possible deck height (I was, to allow 3pl implements to be loaded/unloaded from the side off the deck by the tractor itself) then I’d avoid the 10’’ wheel and tyre options offered by all the various manufacturers as they are a bit of a weak point IME.
  14. This will have gone out on prime-time when the F-word was never heard on telly…
  15. There is a bus load of us heading down from Cheshire (so we can have a few beers) on Friday. It’s even got a toilet apparently, which will be a lot better than the previous crossed-legs journeys home! I was contemplating driving down in a van and sleeping over to do Friday/Saturday but I remember the bus last time going in a different entrance and avoiding the massive queue into the show, which was good, so I’m not sure I can be bothered driving!
  16. Had exactly the same with UK Fuels - robbing bastards if you take your eye off the ball. I wouldn’t give them the steam off my piss ever again!
  17. Not really, it just needs the stump poisoning.
  18. Your neighbours are clearly dickheads. You are correct - that is now a tree and will continue to grow from the original root system unless cut down (and/or poisoned).
  19. I reckon if you caught one and gave it nothing to eat or drink other than Ozzy Osbourne’s piss you’d also succeed.
  20. I’ve got a Cabstar that I’ve had to force a regen on a couple of times. I drive it in second gear on the Rev limiter for 15 mins (keep it pinned and use the clutch at roundabouts etc). Has worked for me (but I did finish a clutch off once….)
  21. I think it’s usually priced in weight of fleeces in Wales.
  22. Poison the suckers and/or the stump with glyphosate (roundup) and all of your problems will go away.
  23. If you passed high school biology I’d hope you would know that roots grow underground. How do you know they are still growing? Are you a mole?
  24. Not sure, haven’t opened it up for a look yet. Will report back with more pics when I get 5 mins.
