Yeah, Any of the high end friction cord is heat resistant and goes all manky if you try to hot knife it. Bit of tape and ceramic knife and Roberts your Mother's Brother.

Just tape and cut with a really sharp knife. Someone was on about sealing the ends with Superglue but I've never bothered tbh

You'll find it works better if you do as there is less slop in the system.

Make sure that the wrench doesn't interfere with the knot as it looks short. Top marks for effort though mate!
