  1. I'm shocked he opens his own wine!
  2. :wink:Easier to bump this every year rather than have hundreds of the same threads mate! Have a good day bud!
  3. Ha ha! I do like pointless stuff like that!
  4. Merry Christmas Arbtalk! Time to revive this old thread! We got the keys to our first house a week and a bit ago so being in here for Christmas day is the main thing this year! Got some music and films I was after and a book about Crap Taxidermy! Go on, what did you lot get this year?
  5. Nightmare. My left is a 10 and my right a 12. I'm heartbroken! What do they say? Someone will buy anything!
  6. Refuse to buy a real one. This little beauty is currently working out at 50p per year!
  7. I've got a large DMM rucksack style one. Loads of gear loops and adjustable.
  8. That's a great prize Nick. Sounds like a brilliant event. I saw pictures of the last one and looking forward to seeing these. Good luck with it mate
  9. How much do you reckon you spend on food a week mate? I've not weighed myself as we've not got any scales!
  10. Nice video. Really enjoyed that. Looks like a pinto spacer? I have seen guys use them before to save manky water going down you sleeve or to save your gloves getting caught in your hitch when you descend. Good idea as long as your hitch is sweet!
  11. Wicked idea. I'm all for a practical present. Why waste money on things people aren't going to use?

    Bad dreams

Think he was commenting on Mr Bolams post above yours
  13. I love Christmas. Spending time with the wife and dog and this year will be the first in our own house so that will be even nicer. Things can go pear shaped very easily and you don't know what's round the corner. Imagine if this was the last Christmas you've got and some of you lot are moaning for the sake of it about the price of tat? Stuff that! I'm watching Home Alone and having a cracking time!

Put the foot ascender on first behind spikes then you can get a decent anchor point and spike up without a flip line and the wrench self tends. I'm using a chest harness as well to lift it up. Lovely stuff

Stick with it mate then try to go back to the old double rope! It feels like it takes forever to tend the slack as normal!

Me too. Looking forward to seeing the finished pictures! Might have to hide them from the wife though! Her seeing pictures of things made on here costs me a fortune!
  18. Best bit of advice I'd seen about splicing was on this thread I think. Think it was Hadleigh or Peter that said as long as you've followed all of the instructions, you'll be fine!
  19. Soak your climbing rope in Deep Heat. Then whenever you climb your hands will be toasty warm. Happy to be of service
  20. I like the little footloop John. Nice work
