  1. Can’t have your cake (living cheaply in a van) and eat it (permanent place, skipping contributing to society etc) eggs, naive to think so tbh. good for you for doing the van life, but you’re on wheels for a reason
  2. Check out park4night some places are official sites, others are nice spots people have parked up and got away with it if abroad some countries it’s perfectly legal to park up for the night somewhere public
  3. Just buy direct from Scandinavia, the pounds strong, better quality timber easy to put together (done it a few years back for a mate)
  4. I liked the stihl, even brought a second when the first died, then when the 2nd died I got the echo fantastic saw! it’s what stihl should have produced. get the tesc model and it’ll come with a narrow bar and chain, which as joe said is a must. 99%sure it’s just a rebranded sugihara bar.
  5. You sure the engines running flat out? my old one the rollers would be spinning 5 times faster than that. I do seem to/want to remember that the rollers crept with no power like that when revs weren’t all the way up.
  6. Banks are money grabbing barstewards who definitely do not have their customers best interests at heart. Even their customer advisors are geared up to earn the banks money rather than advise what’s best for their customers. but that’s another subject
  7. @burrell_ rates them, got a couple of the Renault badged versions. search his posts or contact via instagram/Facebook mjc tree care
  8. Did you shift the trailer? what’s the slew on the crane like? (180/270 degrees?)
  9. Looks a great 90 replacement! I really liked the 2.8 in the hilux, both for towing and daily driving
  10. I’m not sure if avants or multi one offer this, but using a finger bar mower on a multi one 7 series was only ok at best, every time you turn, adjust the boom etc it saps power from the attachment, would be handy having a dedicated pump running the attachment line? do you need to transport it on a trailer? Or is it gonna be at the Same place most of the time?
  11. Good decision! If you like your kit and want to use it again once you’ve recovered DONT hire it out! No matter who you hire too they won’t treat it with the same respect you would, resentment builds and friendships fail
  12. That’s just allowing for leakage from the seals getting tired of waiting for the engine to start
  13. If wedging or jacking that’d mean more effort needed to smack the wedge in/Jack pressure as you’re effectively shortening the leaver effect……but you wouldn’t need as much height in the back cut to tip it over
  14. ironically I reckon fr Jones was at the forefront of enticing people away from their local dealers! been a while, but skyland have the best personal service ime
  15. believe what you want 🤷‍♂️ delivery for anything takes at least two days here, I’ve never experienced next day delivery, no reason why logosol parts would come quicker than any other make sold in the same country, if it’s in stock its in stock, if it’s not it’s not! I don’t like to ring up to order stuff, I like to click on a straight forward website what I want. The importer for Norwood (and frontier) is a large company selling all sorts of forestry stuff with a great easy to use website with prices (there’s other “Swedish made” saw mills who don’t have prices, it’s all “ask for a quote” - not what I like) so at the time, yeah easier as their website was easier and more comprehensive. just had a quick look, the logosol site does look a lot better now. But another deciding factor at the time was price for the specification I decided I wanted - the logosol was more than a grand extra. which is why I reckon it’s important to decide what specs are important to the individual before choosing a make
  16. What size timber will you want to mill? (Length and diameter) budget? Hydraulic lift/rotate etc? I’ve a newer model Norwood, after deciding what specs were important to me it came out on top over frontier, woodland mills, woodmizer and logosol. Plus the backup and parts were far better than any other make (in Sweden though!) im happy enough with it mines the LM30, 14hp Kohler motor. think it’s rated to 76cm diameter, but happiest at about 50-60cm max tbh but if milling seriously, logosol (but their biggest mill might not be big enough!) or woodmizer would be my first port of call (based on what’s available here and looking at mates machines) but Then there’s loads of other makes too that I’ve heard of but haven’t taken an interest in due to no/poor backup here. dealing with sawdust is worth considering too, dunno what it’s called tbh but the vacuum that attaches to the mill would be worth looking at if milling often imo
  17. How did I know you where gonna say something like that? 🙄 You're certainly not one for owning your mistakes are you? 😆
  18. Nice! I took one for a test ride when they came out, lovely bike
  19. Come on now eggs, an outsider reading this thread, trig obviously said something mean, you pulled him up on it, he’s changed his post and even apologized. Now out of the blue you decide to poke him 🤷‍♂️
  20. 🙄 Now why’d you have to stir shit up again?
