  1. Think I gain on sites where access is not roadside and if trees need to be pulled over.
  2. I do big dismantle assists using MB Trac and Heizohack chipper or MB Trac and timber drag. Looked at using a wagon but could not get the figures to stack up compared to the MB Trac and drag. Only advantage for a wagon was long distance but my ethos is to provide a local service so MB Trac is fine.
  3. With the amount of rain we have had here in the last 24 hours you could sail it here.
  4. Wonder if santa will stretch to this unipower timber tractor vintage lorry classic lorry | eBay
  5. This is the form what is causing me aggro which you have to submit to BSL http://www.confor.org.uk/Upload/Documents/34_BSLUKriskbasedregionalassessment.pdf
  6. I had the same thought process until the email came to say I was x months late filing my land registration. You have a choice either file online or in 2 weeks time you will be struck off the BSL register. Seems to focus the mind but then the bullshit red tape starts as it seems to have all be designed by Confor on the basis all wood is sourced from managed woodland even though the legislation says different.
  7. Its a 6,300 on 3 point link as its easier in the woods then using the wheeled versions when doing brash.
  8. Can anyone define why Primary Processing Chip or Slabwood cannot be from Arborical Arisings as this is what the idiots at BSL seem to be suggesting.
  9. Getting about 1 per week at the moment I think they have picked up my name off the BSL register. Wood pellet at crazy price of £92 per tonne.
  10. If your using IBC's you will definitely need the 3rd pallet fork on the rotator as the IBC steel bases are not strong enough to rotate full boxes of wood without it.
  11. We rotate our IBC's with a rotator attached to a forklift but you can get forklifts which mount to a 3 point lift.
  12. If I cant get the idiots at BSL sorted I may have one to sell.
  13. No I am registered for 10,000 tonnes
  14. And so the saga of these idiots goes on. Looks like I am going to lose my registration because I have not sent in a valid land registration. But sir I protest I have sent in my land registration but I dont have any bits of paper because all my timber is from arb arisings and is therefore exempt. Its now gone beyond a joke so off to my MP to make a formal complaint against these incompetent idiots.
  15. Here is the thread if anyone wants a read and reply Seriously thinking about giving up on burning wood | Hearth.com Forums Home
  16. Sounds like she lives in a terrace so can only handle a couple of cube at a time.
  17. Have been on an American biomass website where a Scottish lady has been slagging off the UK market. To be fair I agree with 90% of what she is saying in particular 20% MC should mean 20% MC not 25% or 30%. So if anyone has genuine sub 20% hardwood for sale in the FK8 area of scotland there is a willing customer ready to pay £100 per mtr cube. Unfortunately Arbtalk is mentioned in particular the list of wood suppliers all of the ones she has tried have given her wet timber in excess of 20%.
  18. If I could buy at that price I would not bother to process. All my logs go out at £100 mtr cube.
  19. You can have my MF550 for 3k being 2WD its no good on my farm and I have just got a 4WD Holder to replace it.
  20. They do but then they dont try and burn it while it is still wet.
  21. If you have grid connection it would certainly work for a small CHP plant with the income inflation proof and guaranteed for 20 years.
  22. Are we talking about the machine or the previous owner Now works at the flick of a switch
  23. Can we play snap although mine is in oily black. Do you have the covers for the blades as mine are missing and I was looking for a mould to make some new castings.
