  1. I do take exception to that. My Solar kilns are designed to dry wood not to grow vegs. If I stood my IBC containers in my veg tunnels then the firewood would go mouldy due to the high humidity.
  2. Just lost a customer because I refused to join the race to the bottom with smaller bags. He has bought a load of blazers kindling at £1.50 a bag and is retailing them at £2.50 unfortunately there only half the size of the bags sold by Aldi for £1.99 so I think he may have shot himself in the foot.
  3. Well my logs are sold as solar kiln dried and I have never had a problem with that description and there all guaranteed less than 20% moisture content.
  4. This is what I am worried about as its the footpaths that they want cleared and I can see it would be very easy falling off the kerb if the roads had not already been cleared which is the norm around us.
  5. Would GPS help with the problem of kerbs.
  6. Its quite surprising what you can tow with a Subaru Legacy. How legal it is is another matter.
  7. Anyone provided a snow clearing service to a local community. Have a meeting next week and dont really know what to expect. I presume the Local Authority provide the Salt/Grit with roads cleared by the LA with footpaths being down to the local community.
  8. If you get stuck I have a contact at the factory but really the UK dealer should easily be able to source that for you.
  9. The 10% I referred to is the lower figure on the speed range so 750 would be highest speed and 675 min speed. I normally run 725 min and 750 max.
  10. Thats what we had to do. Originally linked into a new central heating system but had to amend to DHW only and bought a Dunsley Yorkshire to run the central heating which it does well.
  11. Was told to always run my Heizohack no more than 10% less than max speed therefore have always used it on the 1000 pto shaft.
  12. Need to save up for the Lohberger before I can part with the Esse.
  13. Make me a sensible offer and its yours, comes complete with additional cast iron fire door with half inch bow in casting which has been replaced with another door with half inch bow in casting.
  14. They had not even heard of a Laddomat when I installed my stove and where asking me why I had installed one and what where the perceived benefits. I realise a lot of this was my own fault for being sucked in by the promises made by the company of what there new stove could do. Normally I wait at least a couple of years for a product to gain a track record, had I done that with this stove then I would not have bought it as it was already highlighted as a lemon to be avoided at any cost.
  15. You can have my badly engineered ESSE heap of junk back at any time. Eventually it will be replaced by a Lohberger but we have learnt to live with the defects.
  16. Anyone run a gritter similar to this. Would I need an additional lighting board as original rear lights appear to be covered by the gritter.
  17. These are the official figures mine is the telescopic which is very handy. 202 | 202T | Kesla In reality its just over a tonne as the closer you get below 3 mtrs the capacity increases dramatically. You can also walk trunks on taking one side of posts out which again increases you max log size to approx 2 tonne.
  18. Only have a picture of it mounted on my trailer but you can clearly see the 3 pt link pick up points.
  19. Pity your not closer you could have borrowed my Kesla. Just 8 bolts to undo to detach from forwarding trailer. Only time I normally detach is if I am using the drawbar trailer on long hauls from roadside.
  20. Bring it on. Need to test the new arrival from Sweden
  21. Its not the quality of chip I am concerned with as very few boilers will be capable of using it as is. The problem comes when it is reprocessed into wood pellets and sold as first class pellets eligible for RHI which clearly its not as the timber source is normally recycled pallets or demolition timber.
  22. There is no way that product has been produced by a heizohack chipper. Would suggest its this pile of junk. http://www.staalmeester.co.za/Pallet-Shredder.html
  23. Waiting in the wings for UK govt to approve as direct substitute for diesel. To be honest I think its being stopped by the oil lobby but its hard to prove that.
  24. No traditional steam cycle but using thermal oil boiler and thermal oil steam evaporator instead of the normal pressurized steam boiler.
