  1. I showed BSL the door at a very early stage as I had so few RHI clients. I am now pleased I did as I would not like to jump through these new hoops and it will probably be the death of RHI. It closes to new entrants in March anyway.
  2. So in your example Mrs Muggins cannot accept more than 0.5m3 loads at a time so she tells you to put the 5m3 in her self storage locker with the required 'note'. She then goes and picks 0.5m3 from her locker at a time. What rules are being broken.
  3. Not breaking the law so will not be ending up in court.
  4. The only suspect interpretation is in respect of the definition of 2 cube. Is that a solid 2 cube of timber or 2 cube of stacked logs or 2 cube of loose fill. The industry standard method of delivery would suggest loose fill but then imports of timber are normally stacked. My standard is normally two lBC containers so 2.4 cube loose fill.
  5. Luck has nothing to do with it just proper legal advice rather than hearsay on an arb forum.
  6. It pays to be pedantic over words when you can kick this woodsure nonsense into touch.
  7. Think you need to actually read the legislation. "Delivery" is not the term used its actually "Supply" Thankfully I will not be paying the woodsure blackmail premium.
  8. Find an old lister powered dumper and its already plumbed for a log splitter just a couple of quick release connectors and you can swap between dumper and log splitter.
  9. Its not a problem just contact Holder in Germany direct and give them the chassis number and they will supply the parts direct. Holder were actually taken over by Karcher so if you go on the Karcher website they have a whole section on Holder and Holder Parts. Their not cheap but a least there available.
  10. Unfortunately not but there is plenty on youtube showing how billets can be made using a long log splitter. Its easy enough to do with a 2way blade. If you want I could put up instructions. Basically a 36 inch log would end up as 16 billets.
  11. You do appreciate how much you will devalue the property value of your house by planting a woodland. Once planted it will be impossible to remove and revert back to farmland.
  12. Have had a Mk2 for approx 10 years and only just sold it due to retiring. A very good machine and so well made. Although the saw cut is 12 inches the splitter will take wood upto 36 inch so if you cut the stem 3 inch shorter than the splitting chamber you can split the stem into two and keep splitting until you have billets of the right size to process through the blade. The blade being a TCT keeps very sharp and I have never needed to sharpen although I have only ever processed virgin timber. TCT blades do not like nails or stones. I also have a Browns sliding top sawbench with steel blade which gets professionally resharpened every six months as by then its blunt.
  13. I use a little alpine tractor (Holder A15) Ride up attach tree to hydraulics lift off ground then low gear and will pull nearly anything down the hillside. Small enough that you can steer tractor without being sat on it. Bigger stuff can be lifted off the deck with forward motion wheel jack.
  14. How big is the wood you want to process. A palax combi mk 2 is good for upto 36 inches you just need to know how to use it and get into the habit of making billets.
  15. Solution that has worked for us in an old stone listed farmhouse. Seal the house with triple glazing and swedish doors, fires vented from outside, lime mortar throughout, then Partel MVHR in pairs which removes any condensation.
  16. Would certainly be interested in the Holder but think the cost of shipping from NZ would kill any deal.
  17. Just got an email today to say that Woodsure have been appointed to take over the running of the BSL scheme. Sounds like jobs for the boys.
  18. Far more Holder tractors used in Germany than UK
  19. If your still after a radiator there is one on ebay.de Not cheap but sure you can negotiate
  20. In that case your lucky to have it as I missed it on ebay and I would have bought it. Good luck with your refurbish. Hope you get on with the Dutch site. I gave up with them but you might have more success.
  21. Will be using that amount this week and will cover approx 10m2
  22. No if you read my post your rhodos need ericaecous compost so your composted woodchip is ideal. The ash is as others have said is a method of increasing ph to the right amount. I check all my deep beds with an electronic ph tester before planting and if low add more wood ash to correct.
  23. Its gold dust for converting acidic soil into useable soil.
