  1. landy and ifor livestock trailer, used to jam in brash and it would take ages to get it out.
  2. Bullet proof vest ordered, hope it arrives in time!!
  3. was it worth carrying lumps of pop into the garden just to save a few lumps in the lawn thats not in Ordsal is it.
  4. My mrs makes me do the potatoes now and again when Im in the dog house, might be of help depending on future behaviour.
  5. Unbelievable, that drop off is insane must have dropped 35 meters vertical, balls of high tensile steel
  6. How about a combination of 4 different purposes, if you chipped it all your stuck to one outlet: 1)Specialist smelly firewood 2)Geeky wood turners love the stuff I know a few who will buy it from you 3)Furniture making 4)Chip for smoking
  7. Just my opinion but if your yard is no where near your house and noise is no problem to the dirty scum you know they will use mini blow torches, stihl saws etc. nowt you can do. Even if they don't get fully through the £1000 security box they will make a big enough mess for you to need to buy a new one. I think decent tool insurance with renown companies who pay out fast with old for new policies is more important. I would never want all my kit to disapear because of hassles etc. but with an old for new policy it certainly would not be the end of the world imo (nice new shiny saws to replace the old ones). If you spend a £1000 on storage and get hit every 2 years thats alot of cash with an old small shipping container you can fix it easily if you get hit.
  8. Don't think I will be using mine for longer than another 6-12 months 80% of all the big work Ive had this year has had crap access (as you have seen). All I can think about is a multione and a narrow access chipper. Won't sell mog unless I have to they are so reliable when they only do 200 hours a year
  9. Does your local mechanic charge £125 an hour . Anyway if it had a real major break down you could sell it for £3500 broken if its ag spec.
  10. Stumbled accross this: http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/www/plant/advert+search/N-242,Ne-7-8-27-64-133-146-233-236/advert.action?R=200850112359575&distance=91&postcode=wn8+7jj&channel=PLANT&make=&model=&min_pr=&max_pr=&max_mileage=&vehicleYearOfManufacture=&vehicleRegLetter= should be a bargain for someone.
  11. Will it flash and make the thief aware its there or has it some form of night vision
  12. I love this anti biomass idea. I hope buzz does not read this post, but if he does I'm sure AHS will buy the patent rights for millions. Like the oil companies who bought the H2O engine plans. I have to go now as I am begininning my application to register the worldwide patent
  13. I have not seen the this recurring topic before of people doing tree work just for firewood otherwise I would not have posted Did not intend the thread to look like another one moaning about cheaper quotes hence its in the firewood forum. I am not phased by the people completing this work for just firewood only, it just shocked me from a firewood prospective.
  14. My mind is going insane thinking in circles of: brash in -> chip out -> boiler -> steam -> brash in -> chip out -> boiler -> steam -> brash in -> chip out -> boiler -> steam -> brash in -> chip out -> boiler -> steam -> brash in -> chip out -> boiler -> steam -> brash in -> chip out -> boiler -> steam -> brash in -> chip out -> boiler -> steam -> help help:scared1:
  15. would you like me to enquire on its price?
  16. My local friendly NPTC trainer / assessor told me a member of staff would need a refresher course for insurance. God loves a trier A lot of money to be made if you convince everyone. I am talking about one man and not the every day good NPTC trainer / assessors that roam the woodlands of the UK.
  17. Dean, must be some kind of cheap time recording sensor you can install in the direction of where the thieves are going, see if there is a pattern in what time and day they are visiting and then stand and wait.
  18. Exactly, close to home their is about 6 tonnes of beech and ash in nice sizes for processor / splitter but would require a good day with a loader to extract due to access. Even this would is a last resort for my firewood production. One of the jobs in question was on a steep slope and 3 foot diameter tree and would require a lot of winching!
  19. This month I have put in a price for two seperate jobs and have found out the tree work has been completed for sweet FA and just for firewood!! Are times really that hard or just firewood in such demand. Each job was not far off a full days work for 2 people
  20. I should have looked at previous post in thread, did'nt realise that had been mentioned a dozen times
  21. I presume the <12000kg means 7.5 tonner plus trailer and not a truck 12 tonne or less, I passed in 1994
  22. does one of these get anywhere close to a TW 13/75 or does the performance match the price tag. Feeling a tad inefficient driving 20 miles with large equipment for a 10% thin Seem to get more and more people asking to keep chip would love a Jo Beau but aint got the $
  23. thanks Steve, wish I had concentrated harder at school I wondered what those symbols on the side meant. Worth salvaging and making it run??
  24. Saw this lying around rusting away at my local agricultural engineers graveyard, is it as old as it looks or just had a hard life?
