  1. Getting it sandblasted and sprayed at the mo, will be a few weeks before I have photos. Staying at the same yard now, Yard is not the problem its the loading I will struggle with, tractor front loader although high is not going to achieve the 12foot height. Another farmer up the road has telehandler but if I give him £50 to load its not worth doing. Would a skidsteer or multione achieve the height required, after one at the moment.
  2. If you bought quality used products do you not think you could get an ifor flat bed, power pack and crane & grab and get a decent agricultural engineer to fab a frame and set it up for 5k. Must be cheaper than off the shelf. I have just done a similar thing on an 6 tonne tipping ag trailer, hiab 031 and power pack for under 5K. Ag engineer charged me 1k to balance trailer, add bolsters and strengthen chasis and build frame for hiab
  3. saw those trailers in their yard, was tempted to hook one up and drive off, they looked really good setup for small stuff,
  4. perhaps went missing while at VOS
  5. Got 2 tickets for mighty boosh at newcastle arena in block B (second block back on floor seating) very close to front. Not going to make it so will take £30 for pair. Face value is £25 each + the ridiculous booking fee. PM if interested
  6. 1996 110 300tdi, live near Wigan
  7. 110 fuel tank
  8. shot in the dark... but has anyone got a landy fuel tank spare they want to sell in North of England. Will obviously buy a new one if need be but thought I would check first, cheers
  9. I rang this number and Malcolm got some one else to ring me, I am confused as even if I ordered over a thousand is was more then £4.50. Can you put any light on this
  10. I have broken too many decent phones now by either getting is soaking wet or smacked against a limb in my pocket for that reason I just buy cheap 25 quid phones now. Years ago I had one of those rubber builders phones but they were basic not sure if there is a new rubber coated phone that is more advanced.
  11. Ed, Would it work mechanically straight of the PTO on to the single keyway slot or would there be a hydraulic motor powering both infeed rollers so a form of stress control is available
  12. thats insanely simple, if you could buy just the parts in the photo, one hydraulic motor on the keyway shaft fab a frame and away you go. Domestic / personal use only obviously
  13. Could you use it as a replacement for a processor and just stick 3-6 inch 4-6 foot billets through for firewood at the yard and just chip everything on site below 3 inch. A sorting system as mentioned would obvioulsy be great to stick all through on site. A mega backpack blower could get rid of the chopped brash!
  14. What are your justifications for getting one if you dont mind me asking, will you keep the chipper you have for your 3.5t or go the pto route. You will pay between 5-7k for a half decent one. There is no easy answer for reliability & therefore parts. I know people who have spent 20k on unimogs and had endless problems and people who have spent 5k and had very few. An inspection cannot tell you a crystal ball is more appropriate.
  15. If your a sole trader are you accounts still available to be checked by any one who want too at company house or those other internet sites that offer such a service for fee. The reason I ask is that I guy from Cheshire County Council rang me about a tender but soon as I said I was not limited and did not have a company number he virtually hung up the phone.
  16. If it was necessary to finish it in a day then 3-4 groundsman would do it. If there was enough room to crane everything first day and finish up clearing up on the second I would prefer it that way. Would this not depend on how busy a company is and what work there is to move on to?
  17. Might creep over 2 days work cause of winter darkness, so 3 x day rates (to be sure) for 3 man team + crane.
  18. I reckon lewis could handle that.... I took that photo in Nepal on the Annapurna trail, the guy way taking one step every 2-3 seconds. Carrying it with a rope round his forehead and a cloth underneath. A real sherpa

  19. shabba
  20. I am a tad confused what oil to put in my Unimog hubs I was told Ep 80 90s. But if I use synthetic do I use Ep 80 - 85 or Ep 85 - 90 etc... I believe they take 250ml each is this correct. Also what Synthetic engine oil to people use. cheers
  21. I presume you don't let your dog watch cookery programmes as its tiny black lab brain may force it to eat the lcd screen.
  22. Any one else have a dog that cant stop looking at autumn watch. My dog can not take her eyes off it, amazingly her body clock is also in sync with it in that she sits next to the tv 10-30 mins before it starts. Obviously all the the animal noises.
  23. Messy day felling Leylandii. Mid-afternoon old dear from next door popped round for brew with customer also old dear (both widows in late 70's) and asked me could she have logs (3 foot lengths), she said she wanted them for her open fire. I asked slightly confused and feeling sorry for her would a friend or family member cut them up for her... no she replied I have a chainsaw and splitter (axe). Went next door and she had a B & D electirc chainsaw (sharp as you like) and big felling axe. She even filed her own saw!
  24. For all you AA aproved do your groundies honestly start an 020 on the ground? Supposed to though
  25. Thank you for your opinion, I can not express how valued it is! May be your looking at it upside down. After discussing the item with Ed I think I will take his advice.
