  3. have you got an electric supply, cheap cctv system is all I can think of to a PC in your building, 3 level electric fence hidden in the scrub also, so you can zap their balls as well as the barb wire:mad1:
  4. detritus21, I think I recognise that woodland is that in Shevington and owned by Groundwork???
  5. I agree with treequip the girl was clearly just wearing appropriate clothing for Bar Work and all involved should be ashamed

  8. Is that ratho used to live in Edinburgh
  9. I have a lombardini air cooled 2 cylinder engine that powers my splitter (was used previously as donkey engine for Atlas Brick crane). Engine runs great for 1-2 hours then starts struggling and keeps nearly cutting out . If I take air filter of goes great again for another hour then gets bad again (air filter is one of those steel mesh ones with a tad of oil at bottom). Mechanic looking at it Sun but would like some ideas before hand to keep splitting.
  10. I need a new TCT blade for my log saw 405mm 13mm centre, anyone know of a place I can get one very quickly. Or alternativley somewhere I can get it sharpened in the North West, Cheers,
  11. Yeah I know he's right, few years ago borrowed an old 152 and it was as said, its just cause I still have an old PTO 252 Did'nt mean diabolical opinion more like why do you think there diabolical
  12. I have been wondering about this subject for a while now, for arguments sake a decent labourer / groundsman cost 15k a year, fifteen thousand pounds, over five years thats obviously £75,000 imagine what you could buy for that ......... a huge amount of money can you replace staff with machinery in tree work???????????
  13. 252's will run for ever, explain your diabolical opinion
  14. I have been looking for new employee for a while now for carrying split logs to my trailer, I have finally found the man I need and he starts with me next Feb! Bricks / logs cant be that different. [ame=http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=xaO3Z4G4Jso]http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=xaO3Z4G4Jso[/ame]

  18. Ed,

As I persuasion to come, I'll pick you and drop you off in Chester as I need to go to Chester on a sat morning before Christmas anyway. Can't argue with that.

  19. Cheap as chips, £5 each if there is 12 of us, I say the 20th as its a little closer to christmas for a greater festive feelin. Ed, As I persuasion to come, I'll pick you up and drop you off in Chester as I need to go to Chester on a sat morning before Christmas anyway. Can't argue with that.
  20. A vast percentage of stolen machinery is nicked to order. Which therefore means if a chipper gets nicked its going to one specific source and so only 2 people will ever see the chipper after its gone 'the thief and the receiver', another reason not much gets recovered. If you know the right people you can get what you want within a few weeks. Its very disapointing that it can only be tree / landscape companies which are placing the orders.
  21. No wheres ever going to be ideal, hard to pick a venue when theres people from, lakes, yorkshire, wales. Halfway for all would be somewhere round Manchester. Would still mean you travelling a tad further though.

  22. You up for a few beers Ed or is Hurst Green to far. Got a call from the firm doing the excavating on that 10 acre plot, on hold to Feb now, not going to hold my breath though

  23. Any news on this yet, need to get a permit in advance from the lass for a full night away drinking! Is Hurst Green Ok for all, never going to please everyone with a venue but needs sorting.
  24. Sorry for starting 2 threads messed my first up with lack of description. Has any one heard of a PTO attachment that is a massive air / hoover for excavation around services, like a giant soil pick. Had a quick look on search engines with no success.
  25. I have worked out why I was getting a larger quote, if you ring the scotland office and you tell them your in England they immediately put you in touch with a different company / branch from Leicester, they are giving the £5+ a bag quote. Need to say Im from Scotland to deal with the contact mentioned in this thread
