  13. I do know birds but it is when it gets to warblers or marsh and willow tits i am no good. I do not know bird song either and as you will know this is a big part. I do the Barn owl surveys and have the licence but i have to get a ringer in. I did have short eared owls a few years back:thumbup:
  14. I am having some bird surveys done in some of my woods. How many others have had bird surveys in your parks or woods? I think this is important as some birds are getting very rare i have not seen the nuthatch here for a couple of years and we have lost the nightingale:001_smile:

  22. I forgot to say i have got one worse than that where people walk. I had Eastwoods in and they cut back all the major limbs so all the weight is on the trunk. She soon grew a nice new crown. Yesterday i took 35 people round on a guided walk and showed them this tree they could not believe how good it looked. Most people would have felled it:thumbdown:
  23. She needs a the lowest crown as she can get with that trunk and she seems to have done that. As Tony said get the weight and balance right and she will stand for years. I would not bolt her Andy she looks like she is doing all the right things for herself:001_smile:
  24. Here you go Sean a long wait but here is the weeping ash pictures.
