  1. What a good picture of the wood anenomnes. In all of my woods i only have one plant. But i have lots of early purple orchids. Sounds like you had a good day

I am on holiday this week in the garden so time to think this is what i came up with today:001_smile: We all know of old trees but how often do we stand beside it and think how old it is and what was life like when it was a sapping? So as a bit of fun i thought if we find a tree in our town or village any age work out how old it is take a picture of it. Then if we find out a piece of history from that year or maybe who was king ect. See what trees and interesting historic facts we can come up with:thumbup:
  11. No david there were no signs of anything:001_smile: Remarkable old tree it is a hedgerow pollard and looks like a few more people will see it as yet:thumbup1:

  18. No we have no large Elms all dead this one has stood there dead since i have been here but it fell over on to the track. I hope someone would bye it look at the burr pattern going on in there:biggrin:

  20. It is wet Elm it was raining hard when i was cutting it up i got soaked:biggrin:
