  5. Cool pictures:001_smile: I need to get back over to Staverton as they have epiphyte trees hollys and silver birch growing in old oak pollards. There is a Rowan growing in an old oak and if you time it right the rowan is in full leaf and the oak leaves are just coming out

  13. No thanks David i will try and come along:biggrin: The growth on the buttreees is what Tony sorensen was looking for i think the pictures are rubbish to the real thing. Here is one more i name some of my trees and this is the umbrella tree i will take this picture again in the spring and you will see better why:001_smile:
  14. Heres a big hollow beech from Bintree in Norfolk:001_smile:

  19. I have been working all week on blackthorn but have not found any of them just thorns in my fingers:001_smile:
  20. I do like my oaks but also like beech. The birds nest orchid can only be found under the deep shade of a beech wood and i think the very very rare ghost orchid likes a beech wood:001_smile:
