  1. Lee this is sad news i did not expect to see today. Mick has been coming here since i have been here and we always had long talks about trees and root feeding. Sad news.

  8. Yes that's the one. I also think that was what killed the tree it was a lovely straight maiden oak but the timber merchant gave me a high price as it was solid and straight:thumbup:
  9. How very dare you i only burn logs. Does not help when all the past estate workers fix all fencing to trees. We felled a dead oak last year with the park fence in the middle of it:thumbdown:

  11. Do anyone else find nails in the ash pan but i am only burning virgin wood just goes to show.
  12. We have all been here before but if you go to Norway that is all they burn softwood. Willow if dry is as good as any wood i should know i waste nothing. A friend of mine felled a large poplar and thought what am i going to do with it he sold a load to a customer and they phoned him up and said it was the best wood they had used and could they have another load:001_smile:
  13. No idea but it comes off a 2m Bomford mower it used to move out to cut nearer trees or ditches but in the out position it was to heavy and kept breaking the welds. Bomford said it was a design fault and we should put the mower on a fixed A frame which it is now.
  14. How much do you think it will end up costing you Dave. I am thinking of making one i already have a double acting ram off an old bomford:001_smile:

  20. Hi Sean i did see the oak and thorn i have got some the same i will try and find them and get some pics. Yes a visit would be good to be honest when i came to Richmond park i was lost it is far better to have a guide.
