  1. Got the inside to sort out next to make use of the space without it all being in a big heap, going to take a shelf out of 1 side locker to fit kit bags in and make the back two layers for saws and rigging gear. Be interested to see if anyone else has come up with interesting storage solutions in there's? Ow Yeh and my daughter wants me to get a roof tent so we can go camping in it more now it's a bit "cooler"
  2. Ow yes, starting to get it back in some sort of order again now after it's been a spray booth, steel fabricators shop and sight of menny tantrums over the last week or so😉 Almost done now, still a few bits to finish off once a few funds allow.
  3. That's how I lifted it on in the end, handy having a remote control winch on the picker 😉 Yes etch primer then polyurethane on top as it's easy to spray and gives a good finish for the less skilled painter Looking forward to your pictures.
  4. That's exactly why I eventually decided not to part with mine but spend some time and money on sorting her out and making nice, by the time I'm finished hopefully she will be a workhorse, family shifter and weekend camping base vehicle, wife also has a hyundi for posh running about and long trips.
  5. Isn't Marlow quite a soft core rope compared to tachyon. I'm on my 3rd now and not found any to be a problem in wet or dry conditions. Give it a good overnight soak and clean out between the bars and pins to get the movement back as tree gunk can quickly set solid in there.
  6. That's leaving 15% right 😕
  7. Got asked to finish this off after the previous "contractor" never came back after blunting his saw. And some beautiful crown reductions.
  8. It's had a second go at growing and as you say very yellow
  9. Good idea, add ear plugs so you can't hear the coms, good concept and look very neet. Got this made up for when I'm in tractor or log splitting and don't want/need a helmet on but still need to be in contact with other staff or just to answer phone easier
  10. Nice to see you've joined arbtalk at last ben. Might come and watch but knees are beyond racing up them these days. John Lawrence
  11. Yes and the devil might have to get a fleece jacket because his home has frozen over! Nothing against the place you understand just not near the outlaws-no thank you!
  12. That looks a bit crispy Mr Git, at least with the tub off you get a chance to weld it up properly. I have seen them done with the body tub on ,half of the welding gets missed and then gagged up with underseal to cover it all up The more i poked the more jobs I gave myself, spring pan was not as strong as it should be! but I'm getting it done at least, sods law I ran out of Gass 5 min after the local shop closed at 5.30 yesterday or I could have had all my welding finished. At least I got a few other bits done till half 10 much to the annoyance of the wife.
  13. I know, just dreaming about a shorter drive 1 day, guess I was spoilt once having the apf 5 miles from my house.
  14. About 2 hrs further north would be nice for a change instead of a 4 hr drive to get to it
  15. http://www.trees.org.uk/Help-Advice/Public/Help-for-arborists Free 1 to download off this page.
  16. Had a good crawl over that at the show and looks a very well thought out machine with some interesting attributes, proof as they say is in the abuse but if I was back in the market for this size machine I'd definitely demo it.
  17. Seriously though I have a tub of swarfega in the shower and a kitchen sponge that really shift sap, just don't get it in your eyes - any of them! 😜
  18. Ha Haa it is a bit 👍😸😹🚜🍺🍺🍺🍻
  19. Yeh you need a bandit to go with that setup 😉
  20. Think if I'm ever forced to stop at outlaws and need to escape I'll be sending you a message as they ain't far away at Feckenham.
  21. Typical landy Good job my welding is getting a lot better but getting help in on Thursday from a realy good welder to teach me how to replace the whole rear cross member.
  22. Really enjoyed the 2 days and it didn't feel cramped like some past years which was nice, went to buy a hedge cutter and big strimmer but all the dealers said the hadn't bothered bringing those this year as the apf is a better place to get interest in them. People must have been spending as quite a few items of climbing gear were getting scarce by the end of Saturday. A better pa system would be good to announce when demos were about to start as missed a few starting but enjoyed what we got to see. Good job Paul and team, thank-you.
  23. If you look on Amazon you can just get the brain as a separate section if you Allready have the mounting bracket.
