  1. Would add ( done Tree life courses ) analyse the question, if there are two parts, make sure you answer two, some tricky ways of posing questions . K
  2. Windbreaks need designing to meet the local condition, a line of trees isn't a very good wind break, one species may not do, winter winds are harsher so a mix of conifer and broadleaf may be needed. A wedge or spear formation may give better results and use less trees and perform quicker. Plus other surrounding topographical features will need assessing. K

  15. Possibly crank seals on a saw of that age - replaced mine on my 266SG when i bought it, plus a chinese carb too, much better. Pressure test the crankcase just to be sure. K

  18. There are three adjustments Dan, a H high speed screw a L low speed screew at a T tickover screw. Random faffing with them will not work. K
  19. My technician side says fell it - but look at that foliage !! Find someone who can properly reduce trees and maintain it at that height. Take care of root plate. Nice feature tree that wont cost you much over the years but shouldn't be allowed to reach its ultimate height. K
