  1. To be fair Kev, he botbers to spell correctly. Plus there are a few people on here with quite a lot of spare time on their hands. Also, some who delight on being contentious, hence my handbag notifications, a few are just foaming at the mouth swivel eyed loons with an axe to grind, if their medication for their back pain has worn off - i would just ban those fr a bit. Happily, Arb n For seem to be taking off economically a bit more now so we may see fewer posts like this. K
  2. Sounds like its a theives dream. So desireable and easy to find buyer. Wot are the police doing with all this camera network our tax money has paid for? Aylesbury from memory has a modern network with plenty of coppers in cars an ANPR cameras. Werent chucked in the back of a Micra, now, was it! K
  3. Clearly it doesnt Dempsey, cos the only thing that makes me watch somethin on the telly, is if they are in black and white with a tin hat on...... K
  4. Often overlooked on how fast you can do work with a hand saw. All that start / strop / cut / stop / grab / chuck or swing. Plus nice n quiet. Softwood easier. But have reduced big Oaks with just sharp Silky. K
  5. Definately get up a shitty huge Leylandii and take it to bits with a silky, give you an idea of whats in store ? K
  6. You get the VAT back on it an all , too. K
  7. Wot a great handle fr arbtalk ? but no, just in the usual books he has. K
  8. All the best for the poor girl, couple pics of chipper after a power wash should move it easily, on here, fingers crossed for her OP. K
  9. I hate stump grinding. My 'appence. K
  10. Pollard, bat box, done ? K
  11. @dan blocker on 3 or 4 crews i would probably go for proprietary arb software. But god help you getting some lads up to speed on it . A bolt together system would probably help yrself more. Dependent on yr client type. K
  12. ( crap for climbing in by the way- but ground use, no bother)
  13. Trouble is with all this. Any over support weakens the muscle mass around the joint- is why back belts are discouraged in Forestry, yr better building the muscle up. However i love mine on fr lifting an good place fr yr tape. K
  14. Parking battleships in fiords eh ? Wot were they thinking ? no wonder they lost ? K
  15. They are cracking machines, you just cannot ram enough timber through. I hear that crunching rattle in my dreams occasionaly .... ? K
  16. Ours was !! Oh dear..... ? k
  17. @Johnson we didnt drop many is my point ( too expensive and precise targeted) BAE systems hold the docs on all UXB in UK, yr first port for deep dig, but totally horrific on how much ordnance still littering Europe. K
  18. Definately a quality job he would be proud of and thats what matters. K
  19. As in?? Cant remmember the price of the one we had , think abt 60 grand ? 2012. K
  20. British WW2 Tallboy bomb detonates in Poland WWW.BBC.CO.UK Divers attempting to defuse the massive bomb in a canal were outside the danger zone and unharmed. Thought they had all gone off - they have now ? K
  21. ...dunno- but apparently ' best prices paid for scrap' K
  22. Dunno why this is such an issue with crews. Its a guard against proscecution / insurance non payout / Third Party action. Have explained this so much so many times. Even a simple form app on yr phone will at least show you checked site and hazards against yr methods used. We had a few incidents last couple of years, and the RA-MS is the first question. K
  23. I thought that was cos blokes with flat feet set more landmines off.... Appen. K
  24. Cracking bikes, look ridiculous but handle great off or on road, nice thumpy rattle too. K
  25. Sounds very much like an earthing problem. The fabrication might have cut or burn an earth wire. Wot an arse of a problem. Shouldnt have happened but its up on a lift n squinting out every earth wire n cleaning contact. I would have wired in a separate circuit for the ram electrics ? K
