  2. You know the species of dog just by looking at a snapshot of its arse!
  3. I intend to work less and enjoy life more, otherwise whats the point! Although I am a lazy git. I'll work when I'm dead.
  4. Fair enough but do you think it is better inside your body than being spat out. Years ago people died at a very early age of simple things like deep cuts. From a H&S point of view, take some pain killers and see a dentist when they are available.
  5. Errr dont try and pull your tooth out but bursting an abscess isnt a bad idea since thats what your body is trying to do to it.
  6. Brilliant.
  7. Of course you should, then get a bit of whiskey and cloves on it.

How long is the bar btw? Just out of interest, shouldnt matter, ish.
  11. Thats the best reason to send it back imo.

The different types of 3/8" chain are the low profile ones ie top handle chain and the gauge ie the thickness of the chain.Well apart from the cutter style. None of this will matter aslong as the bar physically fits and the oil hole and adjuster line up as niftysteve says.
  14. Oh really:scared1: Fracture pruning is the future:thumbup1:, or is it the past:001_unsure:
  15. Might be best speaking to a parts dealer since if there should be a filter or something there they will know.
  16. I nearly always have a written quotation but thats more so I dont forget what needs doing! If their a nice customer and its going well then I dont mind doing a 'bit' extra, you just have to know when to draw the line, and tell them. When you know its a cutomer who is going to be specific about a thin or reduction just get them out and make sure they are happy as its going along, you just need to firm that once they are happy with the height/ that bit of the tree then they wont be getting anymore done once the climber is moving on etc. You do have to remember we are providing a service and it should be 'slightly' flexible.
  17. Sums it up fairly well for me. Even when you 'pollard'/'top'/'hack' a tree to within 1mm of its life you can still do a professional job. If you just want to do and promote what you think is professional work then good on you and good luck. As for H&S, I reckon most people involved in tree work do a fairly good job when you compare it to many other jobs involving plant/machinery/heights etc.
  18. When I grow up I want to be a spaceman. Failing that, switching my brain off and peeling prawns for a bit might be a relaxing change.
  19. What is it you mean by the oil isn't running along the bar? Does the chain pick the oil up and fling it off if you hold the tip of he bar close to a piece of wood while on full throttle?
  20. I would be surprised then if there was supposed to be a filter or something there next to the exhaust. It looks as though something has melted. Ive had a look on a parts pdf and couldnt find anything. If it was me I would plug it and try it out, checking to make sure you dont get a vacuum in the oil tank. But, it could cause probs if it is supposed to be a breather.
  21. Have you removed the exhaust and thats what you can see?
  22. Bump. liking the tractor.
