  1. Quick job, thats the way we like it.
  2. why didnt you dismantle it? Shame about the yew.
  3. Ive tryed to get listed on that before, but everytime i try'd it, its never worked, so gave up.
  4. in a way i agree, i think it will faid out with yellow pages, but for the older folk its still what they use, but younger generation use the internet to look for stuff now. I'll stick with it and see how it goes.
  5. Nice work Reg, as always.
  6. Dont say that, i've just paid for an ad in there. Never thought i would but as a last resort with work so bad at the present, i thought it'd be a good idea. Cost me just under £600.00 for a 6x6colour ad
  7. Nice work Reg, a joy to watch. Also think your a very patient man.
  8. Sky Huck, as long as he's happy, who cares. Its hard to get a good labourer who wants to work these days anyway.
  9. Cheers for reply, any plus or minor points on it, might see if i can get my hands on some.
  10. Well said Reg. Cant wait to see the vid.
  11. The only problem i've got with the gecko is how slippery it is compared with the XTC. I like a bit of bounce, it helps pre load yourself when body thrusting. rafregtgunner let me know how you get on with salamnder.
  12. Refering to steve and skyhuck, think the maximum slack is 500mm. i grab above my hitch with left hand and use the right to tend the slack.
  13. Id be tempted to do what Dean said, if small enough, or put a wide mouth in them leave the hinge thick and pull over with a winch, depends what species they are though as you have already said.
  14. Ah so thats how you get all that work Andy.
  15. Ash for me too. How i annoying is it when branches just fail, not a problem if your dismantling them, but if your doin any work on them, what a swine.
  16. Cool job. Like the one with a cup of tea in your hand. Pegs arent a bad thing, if you dont have too many. Gives your feet a rest.
  17. Its the percentage that it streches. ( i think) Went out yesterday messing around with the gecko and the xtc. The XTC is alot nicer to climb with, think its lighter than the Gecko, and the Gecko has some form of coating on that make it slippy. XTC is alot nicer to handle. Decided i'll buy the salamnder see what its like for myself. Ropeman whats the Armor-Prus like, i've seen that around surfing the web. Looks different.
  18. I think its just the feel, there's something different with it not sure if there's a coating on it, so i use the gecko for SRT use with the pantin and then switch back to the xtc. I might just buy the salamander since its cheap and see what its like and let you know. What rope do you climb on Ropey?
  19. Ive got the gecko also. Thought it was a good rope when i got it, then i bought the xtc and now dont use the gecko.
  20. i know the price is cheap, i use xtc, and think its great rope but thought i'd try someting different. Dont want anything stupidly bouncy though.
  21. Any thoughts on this rope, any body tryed it?
  22. i think its an amazing bit of kit. It'd save all the strain on your back, and hopefully i'll be getting 1. Think its a very simple bit of of kit, fair play to you Reg.
  23. I climb on the blakes also. I tryed the v.t but couldnt do it, get frustrated in the end. Has anyone got any pics of there setup, and how they use it. I tend to understand more with pics than writing.
