  1. No dont get on with V.T at all, not sure its because of the rope and hitch combination or just me, havent really fiddled around with it. Maybe i should try a bit more with the V.T before i get the lockjack then. Thanks for pointing that out Matty. Cheers Lads.
  2. Thats why i want some feedback on them really before i part with my money. Is it true that its either you stop / go with it.? Cant really explain what i mean.
  3. Me likey. Got plenty of space in there.
  4. Im thinking of buying the Lockjack Sport or Lockjack Twin. What im after is a review on them really from the people who use them,(if anyone uses them) i've never try'd one and am happy with the hitch i use, but i've always fancied one, so all feedback welcome. Thanks.
  5. It'll be switch i rekkon, the contact plate, check the wires over, i know you said you have but you never know. Cant think it would be anythong else mate.
  6. Fair play Steve. Well done, looks good.
  7. No problem Dave, i dont really have alot of knowledge on fungus. The tree has a main leader for the first 20ft then splits into two, and its the second part of the tree that has it, which i've not climbed. Its had work done before where there was a big split and was over hanging the road which hadt to be removed for obvious reasons. I shall have a closer look tommorrow and take some photos. Cheers.
  8. i didnt know that..... thanks. Does anyone have any info on these,? i shall tke a closer look at the tree, see if can see anymore.
  9. Not sure on that helmet. Think i'll stick with the one i have.
  10. I'd be interested in how the compare to Oregon and Stihl?

think it takes alot of work and different combos to get it work smoothly, i try and play with it ever now and again but i stick to the blakes hitch. Never really got on with V.T.

  13. Found these growing half way up Beech tree. Anyone know what is is? Not very good with this.
  14. :thumbup1:Some nice pics there John, plenty of work off that one then.
  15. That must be a horrible job. Would hate to do that.
  16. From what i've heard Jonsie was selling saws and equipment pretty cheap. Im interested in knowing where these cheap saws are sold since im not that far from Bala.?.
  17. I'll crack on with the job, dont really like it but gotta earn a living, i hate it when the rope is full off water and when descending or just moving around the crown it goes down your sleeve.
  18. Thats true Ed, when i've been at other shows i've always worn them, have no idea why.
  19. I climb in the Komet dragonfly which i find comfortable, but i dont really like leg loops. I hear that the Treemotion is a very nice harness. But you pay for that. Hope you find what you need.
  20. Couldnt make it this time i had last min things i needed to do, i thought i was just being extra picky about the price, but seems everyone felt that way and doesnt seem that i missed out on much, which is a shame.
  21. Price range shouldnt really come into it, by this i mean spending big money on a harness and then finding its not all that comfortable. You have't to try them out really, find a local arb dealer, they'll be more than happy to let you try before you buy.
  22. Jonsie will give you some deals on kit. Always does. Failing that HoneyBros is good too.
  23. Out the door for me, once is start peein i cant stop.
