  13. I like to go to the shop first if your refering to climbing gear, try stuff out. As for shopping for everday items, like clothes etc, i hate it, just buy what i see and thats, that. Oh and hate going on "shopping spree's" with the misses. Does my head in, and always end up with backache, and a really light wallet.
  14. Yeah, gotta say xtc is the one for me especially if you like the thicker diameter rope. You'd probley hate the tachyon.
  15. You dont mess with the taxman, He'll make your life hell.
  16. I use'd the abormaster for a while and liked it, then went onto Yale Xtc Fire, great rope and love that. Also im in the process of using some Tachyon Rope, and talk about thin, not too sure about that, think its 11mm but seems thinner and looks it. Stick with the arbormaster for a bit, see how you get on with it, change isnt always a bad thing.
  17. Was just thinking the same thing. You would be screwed over Dean. Im not one for keeping things like that, but i always remind myself of the outcome if the S*** hit the fan.
  18. Im going to havet to buy it now!!!!!!
  19. Good bit of tv, if only there were some trees like that around here.
  20. Well looks like you got through it, i've always had a problem pricing them too, number of times i've undercut myself.
  21. There are some **** around. Hate having stuff nicked, had the same done to me, nothing like Pete though, hope he gets the knobs that have done that.
  22. Hell of alot on conifer there. Looks like its getting there though. Hate getting the sticky sap all over my hands.
  23. Nice idea with the rigging plate, a mate of mine has the Sequioa harness and he loves it too.
  24. Not for me Reg, think i'll stick to the vertex.

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
