  2. I looked into this a few years ago, the implications for design and particularly maintainance make it only suitable for industrial structures,so they say.Seem to remember "Latchways" as industry big players.
  3. Mine has a couple of three legged spring bungs in the front of the silencer,spring these out and there are torx screws behind.
  4. I was told that stolen plant transported in a fridge lorry could not be tracked! Is this true,or an urban myth, anyone know?
  5. The Daneway is nice,and if you want a change of scene,take the tube to the equally nice Tunnel House Inn.
  6. My most expensive hobby ever is .........trees. You would not believe what it costs; saws to buy,PPE to buy,climbing gear,training and the contribution to the NPTC.Then just when you are set to cut them down,you really just want to leave them up.At this point the book buying starts and the spend picks up.Oh did I forget the extra premium to the insurance co. But of course you do know.

  8. Saw one once that the owner had turned the rims round,taken the tyres off & ran it on standard gauge.

  17. Don't know if it was a moment of shame,but I still cringe with the memory of it 20 odd years on. While visiting my Sis I got into an "animated conversation" about music with a fellow guest.As I was leaving her boyfriend asked if I knew who I was talking to.:blushing:
  18. Husky D, I,m in snowy Chippenham.I would have expected to be able to get a a 13/64 from a Stihl dealer.I was defo. gruntled at the gentle ribbing for wanting the correct sharpening kit.Should have gone to Listers where the saw came from,or phoned F.R.Jones. Grumble over now.:001_smile:
  19. Good luck with finding the right size for a Stihl 3/8 chain.My local dealer says they don't exist!
  20. Good job some of us have the sense to put a jap engine into our Land Rovers. I,ve used mine to tow start a scammel wrecker off road:w00t: (Weston park the weekend that lady Di died) Any advance on that chaps?

  23. We had one locally that got stuck roadside way out in the lanes on the edge of of a drop.Took over a week to get it out.
  24. Climbing kit LOLER’d every 6 months Rigging Kit every 12 months. Ah,that explains why we have to tell a crane hire company if we intend to use the crane for man-riding.Cheers.
