  1. I did the test for my Irish mate, he,s verging on alcoholic, ain't go two pennies to rub together, falls over when he goes out drinking and starts singing rebel songs and more often than not ends up causing an argument. He came out as middle class
  2. That's what I thought, it not what money you have it's who you know With me being into game shooting I know and drink with barristers, solicitors, accountants, MD's .......go skiing with a doctor, a scientist, and a lorry driver

  9. Is cuprinol water based, if it is it should be ok if you run loads of warm water through after, if its oil based it will probably ruin it. Way to tell is see if the instructions tell you to wash the brush in water or turps
  10. It's a bit like you having only one leg, you can stand on it no worries, but one day a strong enough gust of wind will blow you over. With half the compression and tension fibres removed from one side it's only a matter of time in my opinion, the more time that passes the higher the chances as it will more likely end up as a large decay pocket than heal over that
  11. You can't use it, it's not ce stamped
  12. Just to clear up a myth or two about seeing the doctor for depression ( which is a mental health problem) Many FAC holders will allow a problem to continue and progressively get worse because they are frightened to death of losing their FAC Licensing authority's now would rather you seek treatment for a depressive illness than hide it and keep quiet. Seeking help is seen as a responsible course of action and will be looked upon favorably whereas knowingly not seeking action can be seen as irresponsible. Treatment for depression does not mean taking tablets and ending up in lala land. There are treatments now ( citrilopram for example) that you can take and still operate heavy machinery, drive, carry out your normal everyday tasks and even drink within reason. It works by stopping your body re absorbing serotonin, the feel good hormone. Depression usually occurs when levels of serotonin are very low, usually because of the grind and strain of everyday life, you will not be producing enough. When you exercise or do something exhilarating endorphins are released including serotonin. The problem is, serotonin is re absorbed so if you are not exercising enough or not doing things you enjoy enough it will become depleted. You can quite happily be being treated for a " mental illness" of which depression is and still quite happily hold an FAC
  13. I think it's something we all do to differing degrees Paul. Many aren't aware they are doing it, how many of us have laid in bed at night planning how we are going to deal with the dismantle of the big tree the next day or worry about how we are going to get a half decent shape out of the pigs ear of Mrs Smiths butchered tree. Finding a pass time, hobby or anything to occupy you instead of sat doing nothing helps me
  14. Sheesh, I bet their carbon monoxide alarms were going off every two minutes
  15. I couldn't do with the commute

  20. They will all lift way over what they are designed to lift which is around half a ton. The limiting factor is them picking up the back wheels or nosing over if they are tracked. Mine has rear counterweights and the huge wheels are also full of water, although highly irresponsible mine will now pick up a whole medium sized tree after snedding and still just about keep the wheels on the deck. A five ft diameter lump weighing around a ton would be no problem for mine
  21. Both...I was running over the greens and leaving no damage and turning is no problem either, no need to place boards down. I think we spent a full week on the job running the same route and the green keeper said that 7 days later there was no sign at all we had been there, even on the spot where we were working and with hydrostatic drive the speed was variable between creep and about 15mph
  22. Got bored this afternoon so decided to answer the PPI calls and " you've had an accident calls" and have some fun. After they have sussed you are having them on, they bombard you with more calls which I just answered and played the game even more, orange will be making a fortune in incoming calls from me Best one was when I had questioned them about getting me some money and are they sure they can get some money? I had them on the phone for ages then said, " oh, I can't really write any of this down mate, I can't get hold of a pen in here they don't allow us to have sharp objects, can you send it to me in writing"
