1. Nah....that's pretty crap really..but it sort of shows I've cleared a load of saplings at the bottom which were planted in clay and dying off, which has opened it right up
2. Ill try and upload a panoramic
3. Well, my architect has been and had a meeting with the head of planning and although the proposal wasn't met with open arms being on green belt, it wasn't thrown out and she did listen. My proposal to the architect was, apart from the obvious need to be on site for security and business needs, I want to have the site as a model of sustainability and conservation. Stag beetles, deadwood piles, wild bee friendly flowers on the banking etc etc. I am friendly with the heads of three local schools and would encourage them to arrange school visits to site to show how living off grid and environmental sustainability can be achieved and also to show the conservation side of things, there are already project on the go in the scout camp on the same site. I will be also using screw in foundations which involve no digging, so if the homes are ever taken down the site can be put back to original quite quickly, the piles simply screw back out. Sewage will also be processed on site, the only thing coming into site will be mains water and clean water going back out. The planners may stipulate that the homes can only be occupied by me and my immediate family, as long as it can be passed down the family I wouldn't mind this. Next step is a more detailed explanation of the proposal and go back and see her again. The one thing I am genuinely doing is not doing this for profit or gain, I just want the perfect home for me and the kids
4. I had one brought from 50 mile away, they picked it up without me and dropped it at my yard and even positioned it £180
5. I have mate, just had an Indian, on my way home now for some decent whisky
6. Correction.....49 Thanks chaps I was trying to keep it a secret, cheers Felix

11. Get with the times dude, PC's are so last year
12. This is a good reference, shows you what to avoid if you dont like peaty, anything around the middle horizontal is a good starter
13. Had the middle one in the Dram pack last night, the Port Charlotte, t'was a very nice peaty one, could right get into Charlotte I could.
14. Blank micro chip never worked so bought another controller from Dubai off the bay for peanuts, that's like brand new but programmer won't read it:rolleyes: I'll have to get a different throttle and use the non programmable controller. I think it's now a case of not letting it beat me rather than being a cost effective repair:)
15. An early birthday present
16. Cheers Steve My mate made one of those out of a dirty great rsj, it drops down so it's level and you can't tell its there
17. Mine does zigzag stitching, I,ve done a bit of zigzag on my fly crotch, lets see if it fails
18. I walked into that one
19. Got one of those stealth cams, going to mount it on a camera pole I have had to confront thieves on four occasions, two of those were very scarey, more for them than me. I will call the police first next time before I go down but the last time it took them three days to respond. To be honest, I will take no prisoners, they damage my equipment, I will damage their motor, that's fair in my view and they will expect no less, you get caught you get caught, the winch on the landrover makes a good battering ram
20. No crotches sorry, I,m not that girly It has been brilliant for redoing the zip and restitching seams that always come undone. I,ve been working with my nuts hanging out for the last three months and its been minus 10 at times
21. This is my latest purchase, cost £200 a few hours ago and it has paid for itself already by repairing two pair of gladiator type A's A singer free leg HD seeing machine nearly 50 years old. I don't care how girly it is if it saves me money
22. I would have to lay girt big logs down the side to stop them going round the barrier
23.

It's a text alert from a motorbike alarm, I managed to wire it myself and instead of using the motorbikes alarm as a trigger, I just used a micro switch as a trigger. So if they lift the container handle, the micro switch closes and triggers it.

I got it because it can be run off a 12v battery, if I remember right it is called "snitcher" text alert. But there are loads of them on the market now, just found it this is the link. You can get them off ebay

24. No mate, cameras haven't been put up yet. Police told me they had just moved a big group of travellers on from over the other side of the motorway, they were on the golf course
25. What I was think re bollard was to make a big steel plate with a hinge for a 5x5 box section on the side of the container at the front. Drop an rsj in at the other side of the track. When I open the barrier it would just hinge back against the side of the container out of the way ?
