  1. Great pics - nice to see the winch in operation too
  2. She is expecting it to be dismantled, brash gone and tidied and to be paid? Even if someone really wanted the wood it's still going to cost her around £400-00 at a very rough guess IMO.
  3. What model saw if this for? I'm pretty sure I already have these in laminated and pro solid versions... Guide bars
  4. Thanks Ed - so it's not a straight D009 mount - but would be if you ground off these bits... still a bit of a hassal - I wonder why Makita choose to have these on here in the first place?
  5. What stops it from fitting Ed - can you get any more pics to show what is not fitting where?
  6. <p>Thanks for trying Ross - I will get x2 chains off to you Monday...</p>

  7. Great job - did you do the other cuts with the Alaskan or the mini mill?
  8.

<p>Nope you understood right Ross! It is strange how on the 10" bar it needed an extra drive link! Seems in the 12" dime tip it doesn't... I buy an MS150C in order to double check this as getting a bit painful now!</p>

    <p> </p>

<p>Do you have anyone near you who can take a drive link out? I will re reimburse any costs - or I can send you over 68 drive link chains and you send those couple back. Let me know. Rob</p>

  9. Lovely looking bit of oak as well
  10. They look like the D009 mounting studs - do you know anyone with a large 70cc + Husky - all the bars for these should fit on your makita (as a double check).
  11. Cannon bars are great but found the longer ones are quite floppy like the GB ones... the longer Sugihara bars are def stiffer but don't go above 46" in length.
  12. Thanks Jeremy got that, sent it you'll have today - I thought it was for x3! You've only been charged for x3 anyways!
  13. Thanks- the D009 mount is easy enough to source and gives plenty of options...
  14. That said - when you look at Big Js pics - are you really going to gain much more milling width? 56" rails do seem to fit perfectly on the 72" double ended bar - I don't think it's worth squeaking a couple of extra inches by cutting down the 72" rails... if milling width is the issue better off getting the 84" double ended bar.
  15. Yep - although you'll have to cut them down a bit - have reduced the price of these... There is going to be a price rise in all the Granberg equipment soon (as in a week or so) - but have not got round to doing a thread on it... will do this evening if time allows.... I'll leave the prices on the big double ended set ups as they are though for this month including offers on them...
  16. Ed as a double check - try one of your bars for the 576 on the Makita and see if it fits - this will be a D009 (idea courtesy of treebeard! )
  17. One thing ref these bars over others - they are twice as wide in the middle and have the least flex over the length... also thicker steel. The powerhead on each end also helps counteract bar sag for a flat plank even over a wide board...
  18. Sorry late seeing this thread - great pics Big J - will try and call you again now... I don't have any more 72" bars! So took them off - but I think I will put back again and add that they are just out of stock at the moment. In fact I'll do £50-00 of usual price for any ordered in March. Products for the category: Double ended bars
  19. Hi Ed - sorry it seems the Makita DCS9010 is an D009 mount! So if you put in Husky 395XP here Guide bars These bars will all fit (and same for chains). Put in 'arbtalk' as the voucher code when you check out for a good throw in!
  20. Good stuff! Ta
  21. Can anyone say for definite what oregon mount the Makita DCS9010 is? Oregon seem to have it double listed as either D033 or D009....
  22. Is the DCS9010 an D009 mount? In the oregon manual it seems to say it is... and it isn't! It has it listed as D033 and D009... I'll stick a thread up on it...
  23. That's a big bar for that saw - I would say go with a 20" bar and a small log mill - 18" of cut and much less strain on the saw.
  24. I think you should be sorted now? Is this Paddy from Finland? You had a rough deal there as you ordered just as we ran out of Alaskans and then the next shipment was 6 weeks late but hopefully you're planking now!
  25.

<p>Hi Shaun - yes I would just go with a 10" or 12" sugi light type dime tip bar... bear in mind you'll need to have a 1/4" drive sprocket to run the 1/4" chain you have to use with a dime tip....</p>

    <p> </p>

    <p> </p>

<p>Either that or a 10" or 12" Quarter tip - you're existing drive sprocket is prob 3/8 lo pro but double check.</p>

    <p> </p>

    <p> </p>
