1. Nice Ed - were they new? If so can you send the link? Also just noticed in the pic your drive rim is pretty worn - make sure you replace it if you get a new bar!
2. I think I have around 6 left Si.
3. No worrys - they are delicate things compared to normal carving bars but the tiny noses do allow for good fine detail work.
4. Not at the moment but will have in 3 months - actually will put these bars back on the selector but add in a note saying they are out of stock...
5. The light type bars will be in 18", 20" and 25" for these saws... so only be the 18" as not too much demand for smaller bars in 3/8 .063
6. Hi Steve - yep I'm going to get some 15",18" and 20" in .325 .050 to run 95VPX - these will be in the laminated bars only - but again the order is separate to the one being processed so around 4 months wait I'm afraid...
7.
Ha ha - had me worried as I posted them myself - first class - should have been as bit faster than that - I hope these ones fit.

8. Should run it ok but would be at the max - is this for a 9010? It seems like the flange at the bottom of the mounting bolts stops the large Husky bars fitting - these are all oregon D009 mounts... Does anyone know if you can buy the 8mm mounting studs easily and if so where from?
9. It's not too bad - the method I use is a little crude. Use the chain punch to remove the rivets then change nose and insert new rivets. Then use the chain punch to burr them over finally a light grind or very small hammer to flatten them. If you think that'll be too much of a pain let me know...
10. No prob - I think it's fair enough to advise of price rises - you could be on the verge of buying something and then when you do decide to go ahead the price has suddenly gone up! Additional - Granberg .404 ripping chain is currently unavailable - Granberg chain is converted Carlton chain and Carlton were bought out by Oregon. Seems to be hard to get hold of out the factory in .404.... Still leaves Oregon and Stihl.404 ripping chain...
11. There's going to be some price rises soon on CSB. As follows: Mills - will all go up around 10%. Granberg (who manufacture the mills) had the busiest Feb (by far) they have ever had - they have been trading 60 years.... The last price rise I absorbed but prices have just risen again.... price rises will come into effect on the 1st April.... Sugihara bars - no price increases - next order due in around 1st July - more on this later. K+H wedges - no price increases Woodchuck tools - no price increases - next order due in around 1st May (ish) Stihl equipment - no price increases Oregon equipment - around 6% - although bars and other accessories have gone up more than this and will be done individually.... Remember - to get your arbtalk free gift just put 'arbtalk' in the voucher code box on checkout.
12. Hi Jon - these have all but sold out I think unless Jonsie has some left?... I think we have 13" light type, 18" pro solid... that's it! The bars for 550 and 560 have been by far the most popular!
13. As above - mill as soon as possible!
14. The 3/8" pitch noses can be changed for a .404 nose - a .404 nose is £18-00+vat if you wanted to swap one over.
15. Tis a mega hard market to crack! It's all worth a fortune until you find someone to buy it! Selling timber is the hardest part - I have an ebay shop now and it's starting to shift some wood but still slow Timber sales, Sugihara guidebars Stihl items in chainsawbars alaskanmill and treet store on eBay! Bear in mind it takes an age to photo and upload to ebay so I give someone 20% of the sold price for doing this. 20% uploading commission 20% vat 10% ebay fees 3% paypal 5% on making up the postage and packing materials 2% for returns/problems 20% Cost of wood/planing/prepping/storage 5% admin and misc Profit 15% Not alot! But if you were not vat registered and did everything yourself you could do better.
16. Great pics - nice to see the winch in operation too
17. She is expecting it to be dismantled, brash gone and tidied and to be paid? Even if someone really wanted the wood it's still going to cost her around £400-00 at a very rough guess IMO.
18. What model saw if this for? I'm pretty sure I already have these in laminated and pro solid versions... Guide bars
19. Thanks Ed - so it's not a straight D009 mount - but would be if you ground off these bits... still a bit of a hassal - I wonder why Makita choose to have these on here in the first place?
20. What stops it from fitting Ed - can you get any more pics to show what is not fitting where?
21.
Thanks for trying Ross - I will get x2 chains off to you Monday...

22. Great job - did you do the other cuts with the Alaskan or the mini mill?
23.

Nope you understood right Ross! It is strange how on the 10" bar it needed an extra drive link! Seems in the 12" dime tip it doesn't... I buy an MS150C in order to double check this as getting a bit painful now!

Do you have anyone near you who can take a drive link out? I will re reimburse any costs - or I can send you over 68 drive link chains and you send those couple back. Let me know. Rob
