Bumping this thread! Has anyone got a digger available on it's own? -
Request for someone who has a digger - 1.5t will do it as pretty minimal digging to do but up to 3t. Also a small telehandler or similar, or anything with forks that can lift 1.5t. Job is for Thursday this week at the Hucking Estate Kent, postcode ME17. To dig a couple of holes and small trenches. Move some sculptural wood pieces (largest will weigh around 1.5t max). There are x5 pieces to move and site altogether. I expect it will take half a day - possibly a couple of hours longer.... Anyone available or have any ideas? Rob 07811611457

I looked into this as it does look really good.... well designed and well built but I thought the price quite high and could not see a market in the UK for it. I think it's strength is in it's portability and speed, great if you have to trek the mill in jungle or difficult terrain - but price would be in the region of £6,500-00+vat - includes an MS880 powerhead and all you need. But I think if you had that sort of money to spend on a mill you would be looking at a bandsaw or secondhand swingmill. This is only my opinion bear in mind and I could well be wrong.

It's really designed for carving bars either a dime, quarter or toonie tip. -
I just leave the power pack plugged in all the time (on charge).... as the charge goes down the grinder speed goes down...

Thanks for the feedback - I will pass on to Tom Hoff of designs and builds the tools... he is very passionate about what he does. Everyone who used the woodchuck log moving and lifting tools are happy with the results. -
Sorry for late reply just seen this! The discount applies to the bars I don't have in stock and there will be a wait for.... The 20" and 25" bars in the pro solid versions I have in stock... the light type are on pre order and so the disc applies... most of the pre order stuff is the light type so disc applies.

It's still getting developed although a bit painfully slow.... the model I have will be up for grabs for £950-00+vat soon - needs someone willing to tweak it to get the most out of it though.... But sorry no date for it being in production..... -

<p>Yep - they will go right dandy on a 60" bar - I have a set of 56" rails currently on my 59" Stihl bar and 090 - works a treat!</p>

Cheers all - I am now trying to peg the tables as well as bolted for long term strength.

He wanted a wider table top so is two planks with the sides roughly squared.

Really enjoyed the Jonsie show - met a few more fellow arbtalkers. A few pics of the table making process - and end results. I do take the legs and braces with me to save some time. Took some winching kits which sold straight away! Using a new large snap hook to clip onto the mill now for ease. The winches can be a bit temperamental - the one I had fixed to the 56" mill would not unwind nicely

Just seen this Matt - yep possibly could work as you have a sealed area and are just using wood as the heat and not electricity. Have a good look through past kiln threads as there is a lot of info already on here.

I do think you'd get a better response with some pics. Martin (Burrell) on here would be good to chase as I know he is near that way. What's your mobile number? And are you happy for someone to just pick the timber up - i.e. no money changing hands? Maybe in return for a plank or two?

Have deleted! Also replied to your PM ref dolmar bar. Cheers Rich and Pat - great to meet you at the show and put names to faces! The benches I do cheat a little with as I cut the legs and cross braces in advance to speed things up a bit! :biggrin:

Ditto - a full speed cut into earth will knacker both - but the fine point on a full chisel is more delicate than the slightly rounded one on micro chisel when it comes to a minor brush with grit...

Will be at Jonsie show until Sat night - not sure if I will have internet so may not be able to answer PMs promptly. While on the topic just to say will be doing a full mills demo at the show. Also some rustic benches will be made and no doubt being used in the evenings! (And for sale I may add). Due to a minor disaster I have now made the jump to using oak pegs for oak benches - a big step for me.... Will also have some winch kits for sale for those who just want to get set up with one without trawling ebay. Any requests (a bit late in the day I know!)? I have some bargain bars - 33" carlton for 880 mount etc and aslo a couple of 42" cannon left.... last few zebra carving bars... a few odds and sods... See you there

Brand new 395XP - ran fine for 20 mins, 2 days later I could not start it... changed plug, checked connections etc etc... In the end called Jonsie - apparently very common - fix is to 'ahem' take bar and chain off for safety, pull over with throttle full open like the saw is flooded. As told on the 12th pull it kicked over and 14th pull off she went! Never had it before.... flooded saws obviously but not had it like that.
