  1. Should work for access. Caver's would not have the back ups! That's the cleanest garage I've seen!
  2. Just stick a cut away in-between the swivel and your crab.
  3. Drew, If you just hit the top bar nothing happens! You have to press both the top and bottom together. I certainly would not back up my spiderjack but as I said I did originally back up the uni, not for safety but to help with the transition to srt for work positioning. I know it's not for everyone but I do believe if more people tried it it would have a huge following.
  4. Unicender, foot loop, pantin job done. You could back the uni with a Helical but to be honest you don't need to. Would you back up a Spiderjack or Lockjack?

I got sent a flyer from them today. Didn't mention redwood who also sent me a catalogue a couple of months ago. Redwood are offering s full range of forestry and arb gear.
  6. iPhone 4, mainly on tappatalk now!
  7. Thanks Peter, just looked at the figures and the ones published by Yale are indeed 5:1 and not 10:1. Fat fingers on a phone don't help my spelling!
  8. Some of the small 13hp grinders may fit through but the predator 28 is designed to go through a standard door.
  9. Drew, I was shown a little trick for limb walking, when walking back in clip in a crab above the unicender and feed/clip the tail through it. You can use a ropeman or hand ascenders as they are quicker than friction hitches. As you wLk in pull on the tail and this will advance the unicender. Keep moving the crab or pre plan and set it before you go out on the limb? Anchor point depends on the tree and if you plan on pulling the line out directly out at the point of entry. If you tie of at the top and leave the crown at an obscure a angle the alpine butterfly can get stuck!
  10. The difference was they caught Saddham alive and they wanted the new government to deal with him, justice by the people? No grave means no shrine or gathering place!
  11. They are tough! The zips are fine and yes they are bright! They seem to wash ok but you will never get them immaculate.
  12. I am sure Paul said his qualification is for 6:1.
  13. I use a kevlar cable of a dead man switch from an out board engine. Magnet idea sounds good.
  14. Well I'm in North Essex and I have seen loads of dead Eucs and palm species.
  15. Ben, when you get one you will wonder why you didn't do it ages ago!
  16. Where are you? Ok so your up north! Too far for me sorry!
  17. Not quite, I spliced my own and I don't have a hitch on it I just clip in and out or short and long.
  18. Sorry it's only 1361kg!
  19. Hi, as anyone got any experience with this rope? I am thinking about 14mm for use with mg GRCS. I can't believe the SWL on this rope is 1365kg! That's nearly twice the amount my 16mm double Esterlon @ 750kg!
  20. Good idea! I used a helical from the Unicender as a back up and to help with the switch from ddrt to srt.
  21. I have also used a floating croll with a foot loop and throw your lanyard over your shoulder and into the Unicender to self tend the system, pantin on foot. I am trying the croll with a chest harness but I am not happy with it. Good at ascending but it can pull on the neck when work positioning even with it unclipped.
