  1. Rarely is it unorganised, maybe the first couple of hours, after that ring leaders plan it to cause mayhem and disruption whilst robbing and looting!
  2. Lots of things including personal preference. Strength, it should be your weakest link in the system, durability, hard wearing. I like a double braid and use double Esterlon and Yale polydine on my GRCS. Is it easy to tie and untie? Blocks or dare I say natural crotch rig! Make sure it's compatible with the rest of your rigging gear.
  3. If you have ever stood with a riot shield in your hand with a couple of rioting protestors in front of you chucking petrol bombs and anything else including explosives at you you would have no sympathy and I wouldn't hesitate to use a 40 grain baton round at the ring leaders! A total waste of manpower and money! This is just an excuse to loot! They think because there are so many people doing it they can get away with it. If you watch it on the news you will see the police make video evidence, eventually they may get caught?
  4. Cool! Just realised I can get 10% of thanks to Arbtalk!
  5. Sounds cool! Next time you do it make a video for us all to see and inspire us!
  6. Rob, I have not seen let alone used the mini mill but am I right in thinking the saw will not pivot in the jig? Do you do the plunge cut with the saw in the jig or free hand and then fit the jig? Your cuts look very square and plumb!
  7. Lots of things effect price, access, rigging limbs down etc. I would never give a quote without looking at the job.

Mate, that is the worst web site I have seen in a long time! The font makes it really hard to read to the point I gave up! Like the idea just don't like the site!
  9. Rob, when you make the seats out of the solid woods how do you cut out the rebate where you sit using the Alaskan? I think you can cut the arms with the mini mill and a vertical cut but I don't think or should I say understand how you cut the back rest as I don't know if you can plunge the saw in the mill? They look very square! Very impressive!
  10. Like the " Noddy suit". Looks hot!
  11. Sounds like you like it! I love my GRCS and find I use it at every opportunity! I find it allows me to static rig, lift and swing instead of dropping everything. Polydine works very well with the GRCS. Anything is better than natural rigging and wraps around the trunk!
  12. They check the chassis number and get the code from the manufacturer. Most manuals have the code in it.
  13. He did say he was going to show it to a rope access dude and not a tree bloke, or tree lady.
  14. This vid shows the Rope Wrench of. It is the old wooden version though.
  15. The RW just allows you to use a hitch on a single line which would be impossible with out it! Take a look at Kevins video as a picture paints a thousand words.
  16. Bad man! You could ring or contact them, I do not have any connections with the company! Or you could take a couple of grand with you down to Ingatestome!
  17. Yes you are but I was thinking more on the lines(excuse the pun) of their use of mechanical ascenders and descenders and not friction hitches.
  18. Rope access nuts should comply with IRATA. Not sure how a Rope Wrench would be viewed? Back up systems etc.
  19. This is a sales tactic, the plan is to convince you to buy or talk you into buying!
  20. Thought you might be shocked! They are very good though.
