  1. Here's a pic, http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e33/gdsandkes/102_1299.jpg
  2. I heard there is one, small cylindrical and shinny!
  3. What about the round rope wrench? Anybody seen it or better still used it?
  4. Yes I know that's why I said put it under the other strap to lock it off.
  5. Pass the tail back under the other strap, this will lock it off.
  6. Thinking about it it was never a problem when I used it in ddrt!
  7. Is that pin to enable you to mount the RW mid line? Nice idea! It does not solve the problem withy spiderjack! I don't want to buy a lockjack but it's mid line mountable and has a handy attachment point for the tether.
  8. Very nice! Do you use a router to fit the shelves and back or hand tools? I am not sure I could manage all the complicated joints involved in some pieces.
  9. You can use a food safe mineral oil fro T&G woodcare, think they are in Bristol? They sell is specifically for chopping boards and blocks.
  10. I got the app ihypometer pro. When it worked it was very good. You has to put in a known height though. Does not work now!!
  11. I like the look of them! I was thinking about a pair of Zermatts but these may be worth a try? Any other colours?
  12. My spikes have disappeared into the abyss of a yard! I am sure they will turn up but I need them to work! Now, they were Kliens and ok but do I go for aluminum Gekos that I have tried or the carbon fiber ones!? I am not to sure on the all velcro models as the ones I have tried the bottom buckle spins and twists the velcro. Has anybody actually used the Komets? Where has Gekos in stock ready to go?
  13. I recommend you try a spiderjack or lockjack with a RW, very very good! No sit back and smooth as!
  14. If you already climb on a VT with ddrt what would happen if you stood up using a pantin? Would you not have to push the hitch up? I used a RW this weekend and it is different to my unicender! It will only self tend with a lanyard over the shoulder.
  15. You would have to manually adjust.
  16. I was with Softbankshawks yesterday doing a recreational climb session and as a background activity he pulled out a slackline. Mega hard and very addictive. Have a look at these guys, they are a bit better than me!
  17. Thanks HS! Will have a look at the date.
  18. What do you recommend sealing the end grain with, PVA?
  19. It may have a 3 ton lift but what back up could you use if you use the cable? If you were to use it to lift you would have to offset the Tirfor and use it to pull the rigging line which you could use with a back up hitch. I personally would only ever use a Tirfor to pull.
  20. I am sure someone once told me one of the major oil companies has bought the patent for hydrogen fuelled card!
  21. What I should have said was it should not be used for lifting. LOLER would be applicable and you would need to have a dedicated lifting system due to steel cable micro erosion to the pulleys. If you were only to use a fee meters of cable perhaps a Lugall would be better? Certainly lighter!
