  1. Gob-smacked mate! That is one UGLY tree now – lets hope the wind finishes the job off for you.
  2. Very Nice Dean!! There’s nothing like a box of lovely high-tech stuff arriving on the door-step. Looking forward to seeing the results!
  3. How long do you think it’ll be before the owners get fed-up paying for reductions and remove them? Right tree in right place – I’ll have that on my tomb stone.
  4. Nice job on the Birch and the Willow...
  5. It cant get any worse that yesterday, that’s for sure!
  6. Morning all, dark and wet here today - have a good one!
  7. I’d have a Greenmech if I were to buy again – Top products!
  8. Morning-all! 4th. day with no tree-truck (oh-joy). Off to meet Tonythetree this morning, I suspect the conversation will turn towards cameras after a short while - Have a good-one!
  9. Morning, morning, morning - bit of a damp one here today, have a good one guys!
  10. Excellent pics! Well worthy of some extensive discussion (must have been driving you mad trying to find that cable)
  11. That makes me feel very old, cheers for that Joe - and good-luck!!
  12. You know it's 7 years bad luck, replying to the 'Good Morning' thread in the afternoon David my boy...
  13. Nasty, Nasty, Nasty - Get well soon!
  14. Morning Theocus, hope your well mate:001_smile:, My van is due its MOT on Tuesday and the hire company took it off me Friday would you believe – 3 days without a van – Oh-joy!
  15. Thought I’d start a good morning thread for the early risers, I’ll start it off so here goes…. Monday 2nd November 07.22am – Morning Arbtalkers, hope you all have a safe, hassle-free and profitable day. John.
  16. Every time I go into one of our cemeteries I end up wondering off and reading the grave stones and every time I start thinking the ‘M’ word – Mortality, does my head-in every time!
  17. I did a crane job once, never again!
  18. Mate – we’re quiet here in L/A land, I’m just going to randomly select some big impressive trees to fell, chop’em down and forget about the replacements.
  19. Another lovely Vid Reg. Your posts deserve un-divided attention and I’ve waited till Sunday afternoon to view it (nice and quiet, no kids, peace and calm in the house). Excellent take-down on a nasty tree. It would be interesting to know when it was last topped as that was some re-growth! In my experience here in the midlands Poplars get to a certain age, topped or not and then they just seem to break apart over time. I’ve got several big-ones to take down – all straight fells thank goodness. Nice work!
  20. Correction – it wasn’t on ‘Dave’, it was on ‘Yesterday’ – comes to something when I don’t even know what channel I’m watching!
  21. The programme is still on 'Dave' now (Saturday 31st. Oct) – some of the best viewing I’ve seen for ages!
  22. Lyre Bird imitating its own demise. This little fella has just been voted ‘the most memorable David Attenborough moment’ on the TV’s channel Dave. Its ironic that the forest which he lived was being cleared, and that he was imitating what would eventually lead to his own demise - can you name that chainsaw? [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VjE0Kdfos4Y]YouTube - Amazing! Bird sounds from the lyre bird - David Attenborough - BBC wildlife[/ame]
  23. My two big-ones go up next week – I can feel the stress mounting already!!
  24. Favours in kind me – That’s why I’m in this mess!!!
