  1. Is there anyone out there?? If there is......Morning!
  2. Surprised the T/O said ‘small’ reduction. A percentage would have been better. What’s small in someone’s eyes is large to another’s and visa versa. Good job though.
  3. Morning everyone Lets hope for a dry one today!!
  4. I was thinking that, almost looks like a failed graft.
  5. Here you go..... More stormy weather is expected across Britain | The Sun |News
  6. Shoddy council workmanship mate…. It was this little beauty, it’s a charity tree that stands in the middle of what was once a church spire. Its exposed on all four sides. The wind snapped the wire supports like it was string, bought some ultra heavy duty cable today – the spire will blow down before that tree! Tree prepared for the light fantastic (From Worcester News)
  7. Morning all! Off to re-erect a few Christmas trees this morning - Oh Joy!!
  8. Well done that man! The tree lives for a little longer. Nice job on the reduction.
  9. Next time your there Mick give one of the fruiting bodies a pinch – if it bruises almost immediately then that’ll confirm its Merip.
  10. Looks a little like a frost damaged giant Polypore to me.
  11. Its looking a little stormy for Friday night through to Saturday morning. Winds gusting to over 50 miles per hour on saturated ground. Here’s the Met Office link….. Met Office: UK: forecast wind
  12. We have contingency plans here at the council. We’ve been told that essential services have to remain intact in case of a serious outbreak (i.e. manning the ovens at the crematorium 24hrs a day!)
  13. Morning Mick, got the day off as the car is at the garage – sat at home now with no wheels – what fun!!
  14. Morning Arbtalk, bit of a wet one over here - Got a day off tomorrow so its a Friday for me!!
  15. My judgement was not sweeping, I know each and every of my Beech trees with Merip, each one is judged accordingly.
  16. It hasn’t been done yet, no reason why it can’t be done…..except geography of course.
  17. Welcome to the group treefeller - 45 landys!? Respect dude! I’ve had a diesel series 3 pickup, a winterised defender 110 (ex royal marines), a left hooker Defender 90 (bought from the army with less than 10,000km’s on the clock and now I’m on a Discovery 300TDI (bought for comfort since my daughter came along.
  18. Ditto to that. I don’t suppose you or the landowner know how long it had been infected? It’ll be lovely to have some close-up shots of the main supporting roots and particularly the underside. Good post, thanks for sharing. I wonder if it had been inspected by highways...?
  19. Morning-all Have a good, safe, dry, profitable day everyone.
