  1. This was £800 quids worth in 1 day ( 3 blokes plus a mates mini loader ) Its not as tall but probably the crown is as big.

  5. I just took a call from a man who read about diseased acorns this week in the Daily Mail ( say no more) and has found dark brown acorns on his lawn . What do you know , is this guy for real?

  9. Years ago i worked for a London escapee who asked if the tree in the end of the garden was diseased. Discussion went like this. " what s those black things on that tree is it a disease" No lady theys plums. " are they safe to eat , they seem to have mould on them" No lady thas bloom. " oh , will you pick some for me" an hour later she was showing of her marvelous crop to all the other school mums who poped in for a coffee. I rekon she thought plums came from a supermarket in a packet.
  10. only if you are a registered credit broker. add on the 20% when you quote then deduct a percentage for prompt payment. Discussed this with my man in the know just last week.

  18. Today is the local village fair I'm showing the major and winch ( along with about 200 other vintage cars, commercials and tractors) There are finishing touches to go but most things are done. Just remembered I must put the makers plate back on .

  20. Rupe, the bolts I had where hex ( allen screw) head bolts not torx drive bolts. Things may have changed. I had no problem with them.
  21. Neat little kilns there , I would heap up more at the start to get the max in the kiln. ( I have not done a burn for about 8 years though.)
  22. Most campsites have camping Hutts to rent we stayed in them when the weather was really crappy for the tent ( kids were 3+5 yrs) are great to dry out in. Camping in Bergen was limited and soggy ground. Use ferries rather than drive the long way round , they are cheap and efficient.
  23. Went down onto Bournemouth Pier on friday to see the fireworks and saw lots of guys fishing for mackrel off the pier. Now the boy has a half decent rod I'm planning to take him down there one evening.

  25. like most people of my dads age they look like they would rather spend £10 to save paying out £2, and put their back out and waste all weekend.
